I don't know if anyone was having this same problem.   Searching the googles and forums never brought up any help for me.

The problem:  Any time I tried to usb mount the sd card or if I tried to unmount the sd card in settings it would sit idle then the launcher would reboot to the lock screen.

The cause ended up being the cyanogenmod theme.   When I installed them it had automatically installed them to the sd card.   So when ever the system tries to unmount the sdcard,  it would try to kill the theme process,  which would interrupt the system and kill the mount/unmount process.

Moving all cyanogenmod themes to the internal memory solved this.

I don't know.   Maybe a noob mistake but I couldn't find any info on this specific problem.

Interesting find I'll see about possibly mentioning this to the CM team active themes should be copied to somewhere internal on phones with removable memory.
