Ok I attempted to root my new to me nook color today and it was going well, until it rebooted and stuck at the CM boot animation. I did a few things I found in several posts around on XDA and ended up locking up the nook, and somehow deleting my backup... Great.... So after ALOT of reading and research, and trying I finally got it back to the way it was, stock, with 1.4.1 installed on it.
I followed a post I found on you tube and I should have known because mine was taking way longer than his to do stuff, that it was not going to work. Can someone point me into the right direction with this, because I have heard all kinds of good things about this ROM and Couldnt install it on my phone because some things didnt work and I wanted them to work, I would REALLY like this on my NOOK Color!
Thanks
Chris

Try these links here with youtube videos on how to set up cyanogenMod on the SD card. http://forum.cyanoge...v13-nook-color/ and also here. http://forum.cyanoge...ot-my-new-nook/
Both links cover how to mount cyanogenMod(CM) on an SD card for all machines, Windows, linux and Macs. I cover how this is done in these links above. So for the sake of having to repeat this process again for you, check over these threads as the process is a tad lengthy.
I prefer showing others using what they call the manual recovery on mounting cyanogenMod on an SD card, I would suggest using that method on using CM for first time rooters. There are other methods on how to root your nook also. I am not a fan of auto or manual nooters on rooting the nook, as those methods require you to write cyanogenMod to your eMMC without giving CM a try first on an SD card. To keep your stock nook ROM use the SD card method.
