Hello everyone at the Cyanogenmod Forums! I own a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 on Android 2.3.7 and i am running Cyanogenmod 7 on my device. (cm-7.2.0-RC0-GalaxyAce-KANG-signed) and i also have (cm-7.1.0-RC1-Cooper-KANG-10.10.11-Grif_07) . i have had both these versions on my device and the have both worked perfectly. However, i would like to address some problems, i would really love to have these problems fixed or for someone to tell me how i can resolve it myself.
I've had my ACE for a while now and i thought it would be a good time to root it as my android nerd friend goes it is extremely good to have because you can mod loads of stuff and make your phone run faster etc... so i rooted it with ease, along with downloading and installing ClockworkMod v.5.
My friend eventually persuaded me to get cyanogenmod on my device, i installed them with great ease and it seems to run perfectly on my phone. i really love cyanogen for the time i have had it but i have problems. Eversince i have had Cyanogenmod, i would hardly get any signal bars/ reception for my network - i have tried reconnecting from the settings many times but the signal strength remains extrmeley low. The second problem is that when i have the power control widget on my homescreen/desktop, whenever i want to enable Data Roaming/Mobile Data/3G it will not activate. i have resulted into going into the settings and trying to solve the problem manually but there has been no change. This isn't just a problem with my device as my brother, who also has the Samsung Galaxy Ace, has the same problem - Everything works but when we want to enable our 3G/Data roaming/Mobile Data when we are out of reach of a WiFi area it does not respond, no icon or symbol comes onto the status bar at the top and we have waited and waited, yet nothing happens.
I really want some help, as i really want to keep this mod as i think it is super handy and goodlooking. i cannot access the internet anywhere apart from when im using wifi - when i have internet data i can not use.
ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED I REALLY WANT TO GET THIS WORKING I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO, IM CONFUSED AND WORRIED SOMETHING BAD HAS GONE WRONG WITH OUR PHONES! Im a Newbie at android tech as this is my first android phone, Simple and breif please!!!
