Has no problems with the Ram which is nice. I'll try to answer any questions that are posed to me, but please be patient, I am completely new to android and hacking them, so when asking question, clarification would be appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Yes, everything was wiped before flashing.
So I got the SD card to show up as 14gb, but after I formatted it into fat32.
However, after I mounted the card,
it shows the following on the storage page:
SD CARD
Total Space
14.82GB
Available Space
13.72 GB
UNMOUNT SD CARD
ERASE SD CARD
Internal Storage
Total Space
0.98GB
Available Space
765 MB
Additional Storage:/mnt/emmc
Total Space:
5.57 GB
Available Space
5.57 GB
Unmount SD Card
Erase SD Card
Is the additional Storage, the rest of the internal memory? And if so, how do I access it?
I would have provided a screenshot if I could, but I am unable to, I am sorry.

Then partition it again. FAT32 partitions are least supported by roms

with. I wonder what the additional storage is and if it's usable or accessable.

What is the SD formater? Is that the internal formating utility under settings? (erase sd card command, or is it located somewhere else.)
Also any idea why the internal memory is split into two segments, even though it was not partitioned? It thinks the internal memory is 0.98GB and the rest of the internal memory (5.57GB) it thinks is an SD card. So when I have an SD card connected in the phone it thinks that it has two sd cards. It's rather odd.
And I am also concerned for when I want to install something to the actual SD card, it would not know where to send the data, because it does not allow you to choose where to save the data, additional storage or internal or SD when you save it or install it. There is the option in but it only says auto, internal or external so I am unsure where it will be putting the data.
Wonder why two partitions were created by the mod in the first place.

Now if you want to mount ext partition in CM9, it should be FAT32/16.
To attain this, partition your SD card via recovery. select 0 swap and next select the the amount of space you want.
When the partition is created via recovery, connect your sd to pc (linux pc) and format it. This will convert your existing partition to FAT.
Thats it now it will mount sd-ext as FAT32/16 as supported by CM9.

I can't figure out what I need to do to access it or move applications there.
Edit: I was able to access it by going into Cyanogenmod settings/application - use internal storage.
Now the problem with that is that it would consider that additional storage as an SD card and then the SD card would not be accessible. And changing use of that storage requires a reboot.
Unless I am missing something that is. I am not entirely certain what the purpose of designing the system this way would be....

God, it consumes so much of internal memory. I agree ( depends on your phonr rom size)
Thats a bit of a problem with every CM9 port
Its not just with you. Try deleting useless videos and audios using root explorer.
Now my case of internal memory in CM9
CM7 196MB / 200MB Available
CM9 102MB / 200MB Available
These are on first boot. You can see the 100MB difference when i have 200MB of internal storage.

Nope. Bootup screen says cm7. Also cm9 is ics, I am using gingerbread. It just doesn't allocate internal storage to one spot is all.
I have on the storage page
SD card
internal storage (root or home directory)
Additional storage. (Mnt/emmc)
The additional storage is the rest of the internal memory that I can't access easily. Wish there was a sceptre that would merge internal storage and additional storage.

Although I can't say for sure I'd imagine so. I did several different cm7 build installs on two different thrills, with the exact same results. I guess either there are not many thrill users or they are not active on the forums.

Less people are active here, in our Optimus-One section only 1 more member apart from me is regularly active.
