Nice job everyone!

One problem:  When I try to flash gapps, it goes okay in recovery but the apps never show up.  Any idea why?

Edit Fix:
My paritions were not mounting correctly, did a compete wipe then stock rom install and started from the beginning.  That worked.

OK this is seriously fantastic. I have found a couple issues. With the status bar. Changing the battery style or the signal meter doesn't do anything. Even tried rebooting after changing them.  Also I miss the setting to disable the voicemail waiting indicator from cm7 but perhaps that will just motivate me to activate an old phone temporarily to clear out my voicemail :-)

Overall this is simply amazing!

Thanks devs!Edit: Seems I was beat to the punch on my reports :-)Edit 2: could be an app issue but I can't seem to get Facebook to sync contacts. After installing the app I do have a Facebook entry under accounts and sync settings but when I choose it nothing happens.

You can try using google voice thats what i do to clear up my vms etc.

Did you flash the gapps that were provided in the link on the website? Did flash them right after flashing cm9 without rebooting? Mine popped up just fine.

CWM 5.0.2.7 wont let me wipe data or format or restore old backup due to some changes made in the instalation of CM9.  Anyone tried getting back to CM7 rom CM9 yet?

Couple of syncing bugs, and I can wait till they get sorted out. I love it don't get me wrong, I just have CM7 set up perfect, and wanted to be able to restore between the two at will.  I got it though, for some reason I rebooted into cwm 5.0.2.7 and not 5.5.0.4 and on the second try got it into the 5.5 from CM9.  Everything worked great.  Amazing job though, devs, I am amazed at the speed and quality of this build.

I had no problem using rom manager to restore CM7, CleanGB, or CM9. I did notice that my recovery was different depending on which rom I was restoring from.

I don't see this on the status page or here, but automatic screen rotation does not work for me at all. I've made sure it's enabled in settings and I even tried a toggle widget from the market, nothing.

I wiped everything when I installed, so nothing should be conflicting.

Is that just on the launcher? You have to enable it.

Settings -> Launcher -> General -> Make sure Auto-rotate screen is checked.

The only issue I've had so far is Telenav not working.  It force closes immediately.  Otherwise I'm as happy as a pig in $h*t.  Thanks for all your hard work.

This is insane! Definitely going to wait for a more stable build, but this is still so awesome! I might flash this quickly though, just to see what it's like :-D

This is not the issue where you get the SMS from 9016 every time you get a new voicemail.  As you said google voice, or any third party voicemail service clears that up (youmail, hullo mail, etc.)  This has to do with the voicemail waiting indicator.  I believe it stems from the fact that sprint uses different voicemail systems for android vs. non android phones.  When you get your android phone you are switched over to its voicemail system and if you had voicemails on the old system it must still send out some sort of indicator which Cyanogen Mod roms detect.  From what I have read, the trick is to clear out messages from this old system by either re-activating a non android handset or by somehow getting customer service to do it for you.  In CM7 there is the option to just disable this indicator entirely, which effectively gets the job done but on CM9 this option is not available yet.

It is.

And in display settings

I've tried alternating each of them on/off, no difference.

One question I had that I did not catch an answer to in last night's chat:

Can we use a custom Kernel with CM9?

I think it would have to be ICS based, and to my knowledge, there are not yet any ICS based kernels for the Epic, considering CM9 was just released last night. Custom kernels are discouraged on CM anyway.

I noticed that also, but if you open an app and rotate your device then it auto rotates. If you are on any screen or your app drawer the screen wont rotate. Dont know if this is actually suppose to happen in ICS or a bug that hasnt been discovered etc.

Never mind mine wasnt checked on by default in launcher settings but it was in display. Thanks sc0tt.

Probably right, I was having the multi-touch issue on the CleanGB ROM, using the kernel the Dev provided.  When I switched to the IAP SAMURI NINJA kernel the multi-touch worked fine.

One of the devs responded that it will as soon as they develop kernels to run on ics.

Tried it out with Asphalt 6 and it played in landscape. But using Alarm Clock Plus on my desk dock still keeps it in portrait, so it might be a bug.

Also, opening the keyboard seems to make it turn to landscape, but closing it makes it go back to portrait.
