Not sure if anybody has noticed, but over at XDA those awesome peeps working on the weeklys have released weekly #6....with LANDSCAPE HDMI MIRRORING :) Still a small bug with the sound (read the thread) but landscape mirroring nonetheless. Awesome work atrix dev team. You guys ROCK!

Expect a proper HDMI audio toggle in the settings in the next release, but yes, Weekly 1-29-2012 has been confirmed to have optimization along with HDMI landscape. I'm not sure if there is proper overscan/underscan support yet, but it seems pretty functional.

Is updating possible without wiping anything?

I updated to the 2012-01-29 weekly from beta3, wiped Dalvik cache only. Everything seems fine so far.

New weekly posted (2012/02/05)
https://code.google..../downloads/list

According to Turl:

Quote

Q: What's new?
A: Mice work fine with no jumps or weird stuff, Lapdocks have audio routed automatically, connecting storage to USB Just Works ™, and there's an option to turn HDMI audio on/off manually when you need it on Settings -> Device Settings. I think I'm forgetting something hm.

Also, might we want to move this thread to the "Experimental Mod" section?

New weekly (Feb 5) address the issues in last weekly, and incorporates a system setting to toggle HDMI sound. As always, the atrix dev team rules :-)

I'll leave this thread in this section. When considering the Experimental forum, I think more of the semi-official releases coming through the downloads.cyanogenmod.com site.
