As long as it's a daily usable mod, I don't care who makes it, it'll be better than att's sense!

I find myself wondering if anybody else here cares about this.....someone must. Do the guys at xda build it for cyanogenmod, or does cyanogenmod have their own official devs? Just wonder how there's a phone this nice, and the only thread about it is two peeps waiting impatiently :-)

Sorry, since the cyanogenmod app changed, search no longer works, so I haven't seen your posts. A lot has gone on at xda, but it has gone on twice up to the current, non functional, status. Whiney little #*%!*$ have run the devs off with cruel comments, so they just up and left the project. Now there is another who is working on it, I recommend a peak at the progress, but for goodness sake, don't do anything but encourage them!

I can't wait for Cyanogenmod or an unofficial port for my HTC Vivid. It is an amazing phone and has amazing specs, I personally think it's the best phone on the market, currently. I did managed to find a custom rom for ICS that is de-sensed and basically AOSP but it's no Cyanogenmod. I have Cyanogenmod on my HP Touchpad and my HTC Inspire and it made those devices amazing. I've tried other roms but I always end up at Cyanogenmod because it's stable, fast and usually has the perfect tweeks.
Can't wait for it on the Vivid...heck I'm willing to test it.

I am interested in progress on bringing the CM build to the VIVID. I am currently running a Virtuous AOSP like build and am fairly happy, but the more development, the better for everyone.

You can follow the progress still at XDA, but also check out rootzwiki (under development), where the devs that were run off have gone.  Progress is slow, CM9 is on hold while AOSP is developed, at which point I understand a CM9 port will be much easier.

I have stopped actively following this because it is taking a while.  I am thankful for their work and am excited for the idea, but am too busy, and this is too low a priority these days in my life.  If you are in a hurry to get rid of Sense, I'd recommend Wajee's De-Sensed rom, or like jtsurfs is using, Virtuous Inquisition.  All the ones who hate sense are using these two primarily.  There is also a MIUI, but I have no interest in it, and can't say one way or the other.  Do your own research.  This is much more difficult than it should be - thanks to HTC.

I check back in every now and again, but basically, HTC is to blame for the slow progress, from what I read.  Next phone will be a samsung or something.... Just my opinion.

Desperately hoping that some god-like developer saves the day cracking the uncrackable HTC Vivid's.  Tried other ROM's and nothing compares to Cyanogen.  I'm greatly appreciating any work on this.
