Hello!
This is the first time I try doing this.
I got a old HTC Hero that I want to exprement with.
Everything is going well but now Im stuck when I try to do the Recovery part of the Guide ( http://wiki.cyanogen...i/HTC_Hero_(GSM):_Full_Update_Guide ). I tried both Amon Ra and Clockwork but I get the same problem with both of them.
I get this error message =
"./flash_image
[1] Illegal instruction ./flash_image"
I have tried to find an answer here at the forum but everyone just says "try Amon Ra, its better" or "Try Clockwork" but now I tried both of them with same results. Anyone know what Im doing wrong?

When I try to su I get Permission Denied. But I dont know how to get the permission...

This did the trick for me as well on my HTC Hero (GSM), Thanks for the info. It ended a long quest to establish the upgrade to a later android. Now i can use my Hero again, because i reaslly needed to be able to put apps on the sdcard because some (google) apps were really cramping other apps out!

Thank you Waspdroid, this image did it for me as well (at least it did not complain about illegal instruction). So I guess http://wiki.cyanogen...ll_Update_Guide should be changed?
