Hello!

The cool Team FreeXperia has released stable CM 7.2 ROM for X10 mini pro! Its MiniCM7 v2.1.7. The ROM runs on nAa kernel created by nobodyAtall (one of the FreeXperia devs). On nAa kernel it is fast and smooth.

I've been using it for a couple of days, and its best ROM available for X10 mini pro yet. Its many many times better than MiniCM7 Pro v21 in terms of speed and performance. I safely overclocked it to 729 MHz and the phone is working like a charm with the ROM-kernel pair. The phone is good even with many installed apps like Facebook, Google+, data monitoring apps and all ON animations.

Requirements:
  • Sony Ericsson stock ROM 2.1.1.A.0.6
  • Baseband version M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
  • nAa kernel
Bugs:
  • The notification bar does not slide up with touch in landscape mode (a minor unimportant bug)

All credits and many thanks goes to the dev nobodyAtall and Team FreeXperia.

the rom is currently the best one available for x10 mini pro. a major bug is the light sensor reading value -1 which is out of the the device range and hence it affects the back-light of the keyboard is dark places. The nAa kernel 8 is an awesome kernel. It supports wifi tethering without crashing and the inbuilt dual touch provides a smooth two finger stability. The battery drainage is less compared to minicm7 v21. The lockcreen density for is still a bug remaining. But overall, a fantastic rom. Expecting a lot from the future updates. :D Applause for nAn and FXP.

I am having an X10 Mini Pro
Updated it with Mini CM7 Pro... there was error in Wifi connection....
then i got this forum.... now the Wifi works perfect...

The only problem i am facing is that the device is not detecting my 16GB Memcard....
I had done the updating with a 1GB Memcard.....

I read in other forums that we need to partition the mem card and stuff like dat....
Can u please tell me what to do.... and how to do it.... :)

Thanks again.....

The keyboard lighting bug can be solved in this way:
  • Go to Settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Display -> Automatic backlight
  • Check Use custom under Light levels
  • Go to Edit other levels
  • In the table, for each row value {0,4,16,64} in lower column, put 255 in the corresponding row of Keyboard column. And for row value of 250 for lower, put 0 in Keyboard column.
  • Select Save & apply
  • Select Reload current
  • Reboot phone

HELLO PPL! ^_^ anyway. that bug you were talking about? its not just the notification bar with that bug but also the on-screen android keyboard in landscape mode. all the keys located at the bottom of the screen are very unresponsive. you have to tap the top of those buttons to get response.

*interesting fact* some of the things that experience this bug (example: notification bar, on-screen keyboard) in landscape mode on the left side of the screen will not experience the same bugs in landscape mode on the the right side. :/ instead, other things might give bugs (example: touching the text input slot in "Messaging")

#bear in mind that in whatever instance this bug is experienced you can always use portrait mode or landscape on the other side of the screen ;)

*This (to me) is a major bug in the cm7mini ROM*

*update* the problem is in portrait mode as well :( if you go in messages and try texting someone try touching the text input slot down at the bottom of the screen. if your finger doesn't touch above the centre of that input slot it wont recognize the touch which can have you tapping repeatedly at times before you get a response.... wasn't like that with stock ROM... :(

Hi,
Regarding the Micro SD card problem i had, i discovered that my 16GB mem card was not formatted properly.
I had it formatted by a windows PC earlier.

Now, i used a SE mini pro to format it again yesterday, inserted it into cm7 v2.1.7, works fine.

Thanks u guys for the CM7....
:) :) :)

I tried this. But the bug remains when I use the phone in dark room. If i slide out the keyboard, the backlight will not turn on. Its becase the sensor reads a value -1, which is below the normal range

if you have your screens brightness set to automatic try changing it off automatic and just set it to a manual setting.

P.S.
  • MiniCM7 2.1.8 ROM has been released!!!!
  • nAa-10 kernel has been released!!!!
  • That little touchbug with the notification bar and the android keyboard lower buttons not working quit right is fixed!!!!
Remember to support the maker of this ROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (meaning donate...)

On my X10 mini pro now runs the MiniCM7 2.1.9 with nAa kernel. All works perfectly and the device is lightning fast and stable! Faster then ever before!

I'm so happy that I got this running and I thank all the guys for their great work. It would be a shame to throw this cool piece of a smartphone away because of an outdated software (SE did not want to give it a chance).

Of course, it needs some time and courage to get thru, but it's worth it.

So thank You CM-Team, FreeXperia-Team and especially nobodyAtall!
