It does not explain why when i leave a voice mail the voice mail icon never shows.
yes, it does.  This is a non carrier built rom, if you look there is no voicemail application installed.  If you want the stock VM app, odin to a current stock rom, use Titanium backup to backup your VM app and settings, then reflash CM7 and restore your VM app, works for me.

Since the topic is locked, I'm using Uber's WiMax build. WiMax is working great. Doesn't sleep-hang like it did on stock. Speeds are quite good as well.

thats amazing.  the sleep hang on stock was annoying as hell.    its funny how TW broke so many little things, like even poking in the FB app (i know its really dumb but shows how screwy samsungs garbage can be)

i'll be flashing the wimax build tonight when i'm home (and have 4g coverage) can't wait to check it out.

just one thing I haven't seen or read anyone mention in a while.  Anyone have issues with rom manager and rebooting to recovery?  It hangs after the reboot for me (the android progress bar gets about 1/4 and sticks there) and I have to pull the battery.  when i manually go into recovery after the battery pull, it runs whatever i tried to get it to do from rom manager (usually backing up my current rom) and works fine, but having to pull the battery is annoying.

you can reboot into recovery, but you can't flash from CM7 or you get stuck.  so basically go to the CWM app, press flash to recovery, then run the zip

i was just trying to reboot to recovery from rom manager, and it would hang as well.  trying to run a backup from rom manager yields the same results.  i removed rom manager, deleted my clockworkmod folder on my sd card and reinstalled rom manager and still the same issue.  Haven't tried to flash a rom from rom manager yet, so i can only assume it crashes/hangs as well.

You'll have to 3-finger into CWM Recovery.  That's the only way in right now.  I *believe* if you toggle a setting in ROM Manager (e.g. to backup) it will execute this stored command once you do a battery pull from your hung instance of recovery, and do a 3-finger into CWM.   Read the second part of this post from mkasick on XDA - that might help explain it better.

new wiimax destroyed my battery, didn't get 4g connection because none is available.  By turning 4g on though, my battery went from 80% to 24% in a matter of 2 minutes. without using 4g battery life has been good like it always has been on cm7.

WiMax didn't destroy your battery on stock?

Well it looks like the restore will not work because the file system has changed with CM7. I get an error trying to restore to my back up image.
Do we have a restore procedure in place for this Phone yet?

Maybe this? Odin with the victory pit file with only reboot and re-partition checked.

Use the rc0 with Wimax. I heard something didn't merge right with the newest nightly.

To a previous poster, there's no way 4g killed your battery in two minutes.

You can restore it.  There are a few threads on XDA that describe how to take an BML nandroid and make it restore on MTD (look for GB ROM MTD threads by tortel and/or toadlife - I'd give you a link directly to posts but in tapatalk right now).

Recommend just installing a MTD TW ROM like CleanGB for that and PRL updates when you need them.  Just nandroid it so you have it for future use.

Correct, check activity from Uber on the XDA RC0 w/ WiMAX thread this evening for specifics.  Bottom line stick with RC0 w WiMAX for a trusty stead at the moment.  Nightly 6 didn't capture all recent commits.
