Any one else try? Or should we wait for uberpinguin to say we can use the nightlies again?

+1  Users on XDA have reported the same problem with nightly 7.  Also, there aren't any changes that I'm dying to test.

word. thanks for the heads up folks. I had 6 working but only after wiping everything and installing. Tried to restore data from a previous backup and the bootloops started again. I ended up restoring the entire older back up,  I'll wait till I hear the coast is clear before trying further builds.

6 and 7 both got random reboots then finally deteriorated to a bootloop going to try RC0.  Out of curiosity are the nightlies auto generated?  Is that what happened causing something to get introduced somewhere along the line?

Thanks to the devs so excited to finally be playing with Cyanogen!

I assume they are auto generated, but can't say for sure. Wednesday night, UberPinguin said that something didn't merge right and that he's looking into it. We're still waiting on word from him.

I believe they are auto generated. Sucks that it's still having issues, I wanted to test the new fix for video recording as that's the only "major" bug I have.

Try wifi yet? As soon as I enable wifi I get reboots and then eventually it turns into a bootloop.

Yes, gentlemen, the nightlies are auto-generated by a build-bot that one of the lead CyanogenMod (primary, not Epic) devs owns.  Last I heard, there's a file/repository/something that's not merging correctly, thus causing builds missing features and parts of features, and general bugginess.

Can someone confirm it this happens on the nigtlys :
  • Since instaling CM 7, I keep getting complains of noise from the other end of the call, and I do find the sound from the call strange (there is at least 1+ person on XDA that is having the issue). I installed stock again and this issue dissapears, is there some setting I can ajust on the CM7 ?
  • If in a call, another call came in, and you dont answer or decline it (just dont select anything), the phone keeps ringing on the first call, even after the incoming call had dropped and just stops after the first call is hang up. (there is at least 1+ person on XDA that is having the issue)

Thanks for any help...

Why nightly 5? Why not rc0 with Wimax?

The ringer thing is a known issue that has plagued us for months. There are no associated errors or warnings in logcat, so tracing it is difficult.
Audio issues in general may be due to the filthy nasty dirty hack I used to resolve the mic feedback whistling. I intend to return to that and fix it properly, but the team is stretched a little thin at the moment.

FYI, Nightly 8 should be OK to flash. I spoke to the CM dev who is running the builds for us, and he has resolved the repository sync issue on his machine.

For everyone having trouble with Titanium Backup - please verify and test the following:
  • Did you enable the "Migrate Data" option prior to performing your backup?
  • Flash back to a known-working image.
  • Open TiB, and make sure "Migrate Data" is checked.
  • Perform a fresh backup.
  • Flash latest RC0 with WiMAX.
  • Open TiB.
  • Verify that "Migrate Data" is checked.
  • Attempt restoring your data.
  • Report results to me in PM.
Please note the last line.

Take the time to write your post with some semblance of literacy.

Does this mean I can try out the new video recording fixes?!?!? Btw Uber... do you want me to still get and send you that kmsg or whatever you spoke of while I record in HQ/HD if I still get the visual stuttering? I need to find the post with how to pull it but I will do that for you if it still does it since that's the only "major" issue I'm having.

Only other issue I'm having is all my pc's keep reading the cm7 wifi tether as a new network each time I reconnect. Keeps adding a number at the end aka: network name Cm7. Reconnect and it reads Cm7 1, Cm7 2, Cm7 3, ect. Then prompts me as to what network type Public, Home, ect.

Running nightly 8 no FC's however did try to turn on 4g and got no response. Shouldn't it come on even if I do not have coverage in my area?

My 4G works like normal.  No 4G service at my house.  I turn it on,  get the icon,  it'll go through the scanning,  then show up disconnected as normal...
