Given the recent explosion of nightly users, I understand your need for a place to discuss them, and/or ask if other users are having similar issues as you...this is that place
  • DO NOT: Post to the bug tracker
  • DO NOT: Open another thread (I will enforce this with temp bans)
  • DO NOT: Think of this as official forum support; this thread will be strictly user to user support. Don't expect CM-dev help.
** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.
**
** Please refrain from submitting bug reports for any issues
** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.

Is there going to be a changelog for the nightlies?  Just to know what has been changed/fixed?

Check Github for updates. Nightlies are built automatically, so I wouldn't count on an official changelog.

These nightlys are an update and just wipe cache and Dalvik cache, or does it require a full wipe then flash? Hence the name of the file in the download link "cm_epicmtd_full_1. zip"

If you're already running CM7 MTD then just wipe the Cache and Dalvik partitions.  In fact, at least one person had claimed that he flashes new releases without performing any wipes.  As always, your mileage WILL vary.

I'm sure it automatically does this for you. I usually just flash new nightlys over without manually clearing cache/dalvic.

It's been a LONG time coming! I can't wait to try out these! If you are going from one nightly to another, there is no need to do a full wipe.

Because this is a USA Sprint rom. You'd have to change the csc files for your region.

If you wish, you can keep track of this page for an active changelog.

I lost my top bar (status/notifications) after flashing full_2 nightly.  I checked that my launcher is not set to full screen.

Try clearing app data for your launcher.

Please elaborate on the MMS problem you're having. The dev team has not been able to reproduce any.
WiFi - we've also had reports about that, but all of our phones work fine with wifi.
Bluetooth - I haven't tried any phone-to-phone connections, but it does work with my hansdfree kit. I'll look at the other profiles.
Flashlight toggle - pretty low priority, but worth looking into. I keep the Torch widget on one of my screens for toggling.
Smiley button - and, related, .com button - These appear to require some Touchwiz-specific customizations. We don't currently have any plans to hack their functionality into CM. This may change. Or not. Depending on motivation and resources.
Camera button doesn't wake the phone if you wait at least 15 seconds before hitting it after the phone suspends.
LED - "funky" how? It lights when battery is low, or when a notification is waiting, or when battery is full. What else are you expecting?
Camera video recording - What do you mean here? It works on both of my Epics, as well as the other devs'.

There is some preliminary work being done toward this goal, but we're still ironing out a lot of things.
