I decided to abandon it because I don't have a dock and I already got a tester and it didn't work. Just gave him 3 kernels all which didn't work. Just use a male to male 3.5 audio cable instead.

Thanks for taking a stab at it, noobnl, I'm sorry it didn't work out.  Unfortunately these docks block the audio port on the phones and require the audio out via USB to function fully. If you're curious, here are some pictures.

About Phone FC. Others at XDA said it was a known issue when using Titanium Backup.

is this normal for CyanogenMod?

I also have a Samsung Car Dock and I am also willing to test any patches.  The Samsung dock fits the phone very snugly and holds it very steady in the car, so it's much nicer than a generic dock.  However, as rprockey said, it blocks the 3.5mm audio port and outputs sound over USB, so I can't just use a 3.5 cable.  PM me if you need another tester.

Did your tester use the Samsung Audio Redirector app after using the new kernel?

I the Samsung car dock as well. What I ended up doing is simply removing the sliding plunger assembly from the dock. There are screws in the back of the slider, so it's pretty easy to take off. With it removed I can still use the car dock for my Epic, and can plug in both USB power and 3.5mm TRS sound-out.

You have better control of the sound using the TRS jack anyway.

I took off the screws but the sliding part is still on really snug.  Can you detail how you removed it?  I don't want to force it in the wrong way and break it so it can't be reattached.

I'm noticing three issues that I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere:

1. When a call comes in, the MP3 ringtone only plays once and doesn't repeat. Is this a Known Issue?

2. In-call volume is pretty wacky, jumps from very quiet to very loud with one touch of the rocker.

3. Sometimes when I try to install any APK from the sdcard, the Install button on that Install/Cancel screen doesn't do anything. Not grayed out, just doesn't do anything. A reboot fixes it.

Would one of the bug fixes be having the camera button wake the screen? It is very annoying and a battery killer.

I don't think it's being considered a bug.  The phone has always woke on camera button if the phone is not fully asleep.  I think there is something different about how CM7 sleeps, or our apps are keeping the phone in a state that enables this behavior.

Check out mjh8812post on XDA.  He highlights some apps that can help you find which processes are keeping your phone form deep sleep. http://forum.xda-dev...9&postcount=326

For me I found the that changing the email app's check frequency from push to 1 hour allowed my phone to deep sleep very quickly on screen off, and the camera button no longer wakes my phone.

Good luck.

How do you change the refresh rate? I can't find that setting.

To change the email app's check frequency,  Email > Menu > Account settings > Inbox check frequency

I use the gmail app and there isn't that setting. Do you like the actual email better for any reason?

Right, the gmail app doesn't have that setting.

The Email app is used for Exchange, IMAP or POP accounts.

I think you're missing my point.  I suggest you give those apps a spin and see what keeping your phone awake.

Also, this thread is about possible future feature/fixes. I opened a new thread for this topic. http://forum.cyanoge...ra-button-wake/

I haven't heard the devs speak of this whatsoever, therefore it will not be added to the OP.  It would be a neat feature, but I only add things that I have seen the devs speak of adding / fixing.
