I'm opening this thread in the hope of displaying the amount of interest in a custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Y.

I've seen much interest fragmented across different forums, but I think if we can focus our attention, we can show the devs that there is interest in this cheap, but well spec'd phone.

It has many of features found in the more expensive phones, but it can be picked up for around £100 - one of the cheapest android phones on the market!

This could do wonders for CyanogenMod in terms of market numbers - you just have to look at DD-WRT and popularity rocketed once they added support for cheaper devices.

As mentioned by further on in this thread, I think it's also important that we look into getting a working ClockworkMod build for the Samsung Galaxy Y. I would be much more comfortable "messing around" with my phone if I knew that I could easily flash it back to stock if anything went wrong.

i'd also like to know what is MOD version on the right of a post? is it which rom i use? or is it the version of CM or something? i have put in "none, stock rom" but i'm not exactly sure what to put in
