Hi, I somehow accidentally unrooted my evo. Wiped cache, dalvik, and battery stats then proceeded to flash CM nightly 256,latest SZ kernel, and vipermod. Went to terminal emulator to start vipermod and got access denied. Opened rom manager and it told me my phone was unrooted. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

what superuser binary are you using?! I know there was a problem with one of them (I think 3.0.1 or 3.0.2) that made people lose root! that may be an issue, try flashing the latest binary in ClockworkMod

Not sure.. Was having the problem for weeks before it posted here a few hours ago. I actually just flashed back to the stable version of CM (7.1)  and I somehow have root again.. No have no clue how though. Maybe you or someone else do?

Okay it was 3.0 just updated to 3.0.3.2...

One more edit: Keep trying to flash nightly 256, but it always takes away my root an ability to use terminal emulator. Remaining on the nightly without superuser capabilities for now because of the great battery life I'm getting. Still open to solutions though. Or has anyone else had this problem with that particular nightly?

flash the the superuser binary 3.0.3.2 in clockworkmod and see if that helps, you can download it through rom manager, that should actually work, make sure you wipe data and factory reset when flashing the new new nightly also, that may be causing the problem. any of that working?!
