So the haptic feedback on my phone has not been working when I am typing for the past few months.  I am pretty sure it is a software issue because when I am called my phone vibrates.  I had the same issue on the last stable CM 7.0.3 I believe it was.

Any ideas?

No I have not turned it off, I actually toggled it on and off a few times to see if that would work but no dice :(

I also have tactile feedback on for my pattern security lock and that also does not vibrate.

I realize that this is a few months old, but mine has mysteriously stopped working as well. I'm considering a reinstall of 7.2 stable to see if it comes back.

Did the software reset resolve your issue.  I have updated to a few times but nothing helped.  What is weird is that it does not vibrate when I text or use the security pattern but it does when my phone rings.  At this point I am used to not having haptic feedback when I text.

Try from the homescreen:
  • Hit the MENU touchbutton
  • Settings
  • CyanogenMod Settings
  • Input Settings
  • Haptic feedback teaks
  • Check all 3 top check boxes.
Sometimes the intensity of the vibration is so low, we don't notice it. You could try to tweak the intensity in the "Set" options below these boxes, but I don't know what those would do, cause I've never had to change them.

Hope that helps a little.

Holy hell adjusting the settings in the intensity fixed it, THANK YOU :)
