I haven't had too much experience with ROM's and recovery but I do understand most of what's going on. If anyone can explain this one, please big thanks.
Intro: I got cyanogen a couple of months back and found my phone to become unresponsive randomly. The screen wouldn't come on with the power button and the notification lights (the soft touch keys) would remain on. More on that here: http://code.google.c.../detail?id=3850
I haven't found a solution for that one and now ICS has been released, so I just gotta try it.
Problem: I have been trying to put back the original ROM, remove fastboot for the stock recovery but have been getting this error.
On my phone it reads:
FASTBOOT STATUS: FAILWrite Fail
And on my computer it reads:
sending 'recovery' (8192 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.087s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: Write Fail)
finished. total time: 1.095s
And its the same issue when I try flashing a ROM. I wouldn't have even installed fastboot. I never even tried any other ROM's from the ROM Manager.
Any ideas ??
