Hello,

I've recently modded my Defy so I can use the inductive Palm-charger with it. See http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1319473 for details, it's not my thread, but the technique is the same.

Unfortunately, to make the Defy charge, one has to connect the two data pins of its USB port, which is also described in the mentioned thread. This is annoying because one has to either solder them together, which makes it impossible to use the USB port for data transfers. The other solution is a tiny USB dongle with connected data pins... well, it's got to be REALLY TINY and is pretty hard to make.

Is there maybe a software solution for this? Say an option in CM7 (which I've already installed) to enable charging paying no respect of the data pins?
And if not, is there a chance this will ever be implemented... say, is it possible at all?

Thanks,

JohnPower

Hello,

typically it's a hardware behavior, not tweakable by software...
