Mine is weird.... my wife and I both are running CM7 on our TP's. She is on Alpha 2 and I'm on A3. Never had any wifi issues untill about a week ago and now of ours won't connect without wiping wifi stats. Here's to hoping there's a fix around the corner!

Have you done su "enter
rm -rf /data/misc/wifi && reboot "enter" in terminal? Its the only thing that works for me.

Thank you!  Just got my TP and installed this morning.  After connecting after setup to log in to google account and pull settings the wifi was screwed up.  Same thing, endlessly connecting and disconnecting.  Was able to forget the settings of my two access points, retypes password, but no luck.  The fix above did the trick!

However, I noticed that after rebooting the problem returns.  Still, this is a workaround for the time being.

First you type "SU" and hit enter, then you type "rm -rf /data/misc/wifi && reboot" and hit enter again and it will reboot. I've also had good luck personally by making sure I'm not on a channel with a lot of other networks and installing wifi fixer. Having the latter seems to give me the chance to go to the wifi settings menu and just longpress->force reconnect to my network instead of rebooting. Assuming it doesnt just turn wifi and fix itself when manually re-enabled.

Has anyone written a simple script to use once rebooted (after applying the "rm -rf /data/misc/wifi && reboot" script)... for example, running the script would then populate the SSIDs and keys so we wouldn't have to manually reconnect and enter the password each time?  Not too big a deal for my network, but a bear of a job on my brother's which has a puke-hex WPA.  Thanks!

Worked great for me...took me awhile to realize there is a space between -RF and /data/misc/wifi

After that worked great..so glad I found this thread..was bugging like crazy

**** i have this problem...yes me too :(
never had this, but from today i had it .... wifi settings dont respond, and i cant connect to my network (i've always connected my TP to my network! I dont know why now i can't) ... if I do that command line it works, but stops to work after a reboot ... so boring! i've tried two roms, CM7 and xRon ... same problem

it's impossible to have TP without using wifi ... im really thinking to sell it cause i see this is a problem of all users and CM team isn't do anything to fix

What worked for me was a factory reset from ClockworkMod. Been going strong for about half a week

No. This is an experimental alpha build that requires a certain amount of technical knowledge and skill to run. If you do not know what terminal is, what SU means, or how to do any of this then you simply cannot safely use this build. Uninstall it, go back to webOS, and wait for a stable release. If you don't know all of this already you should not be playing with this. Using SU commands you don't understand on a device you don't understand in a command line you don't understand can turn your device into a paperweight.

I solved the problem without the terminal.
I changed the channel to wi-fi, and now the connection is not broken!

If there are multiple available networks with the same channel, wi fi does not know what exactly to connect - so permanently disabled.

Wi-fi networks showed some in the channel 11, my network was also in this channel.
I changed the number, which no one else had - 8 (for example, can be a different number)
and now the connection is stable and everything works

The main thing is that the channel number on your network different from other networks.

The channel changed only in the settings the router! (Wireless - Advanced - Channel: 8 (for example, can be a different number) )
In Touchpad added my network - now by default connects to it. The channel did not change in Touchpad (I have it there is 11).

Here, most importantly, make your wifi network with individual channel number! To get more such nomber were not

____

In addition, you can put an additional program, which will deny connect to other networks, but allow only to their network!

ps wi-fi buddy or wi-fi manager, or other
