After flash cm7, gps not worked too. But solution is edit gps.conf in system/etc and replace first line with region, where you live. I replaced it with europe.... and working as in stock - good.

let me jus say im very new to this i only rooted my phone over a week agoand flashed cm7 as my cherry popper. i havent done an in-depth research on it all but im getting their my problems are GPS, battery performance is low lasting only 5 or 6 hrs , unable to connect to my Google account making importing of mail and access to android market impossible

Registered to say thank you. Just installed it on my girlfriends desire s and she very happy. The stock android sense was crashing ALL THE TIME, cyanogen mod just showed them how it's done.
