I'm not sure, but I think it's not true, because there is no official CM9 release for Pyramid..

I'm not sure if it's CM9 based or not, but it is the purest AOSP ROM you will find available at this point in time.
Every other ROM is based off of the test build leaked from HTC, but this one is based on AOSP only and has developed quite a long way from where he started.
If Trip can get the camera to work properly, I'll definitely be giving that a whirl.

If there is no official release for the Pyramid, than how can he say that it's CM9 based?

Its not CM9 based at all. The lasted build has DSP Manager included (because of low sound problems in older builds), that's why he used CM9 in the thread title. None of the previous releases had CM9 in the title. The rom doesn't use Trebuchet (the CM9 launcher) its 100% AOSP based.
The rom its self is not bad if you can live without the camera and bluetooth.

The Rom is very nice, I have been using his Alphas and now betas since the beginning. They run well. The camera and bluetooth are coming along now and I would say within 2 weeks it will be an RC. it is TRUE AOSP, and so far the only Rom for Pyramid that is.
