I'm using CM7.1 on an HTC Thunderbolt, and I just went into Phone Info to temporarily disable my 4G/LTE network (to save battery).
When you go there on a TB, you see all the choices for preferred network except 4G/LTE -- that option shows up as "unknown". No problem, I figured ... I will change to CDMA auto (PRL) and then reselect unknown when I am ready to go back.
No such luck -- when I reselect Unknown it happily accepts it ... and leaves me on 3G even though 4G is available.
Does anyone know how to get 4G back short of hard reset?

Okay first, a "bricked" phone is just that, a brick, useless, can't even get to the bootloader. Safe to say, not getting 4G is not bricked...lol!
With that out of the way, I used cm7 on my ThunderBolt for months and never had 4G show as unknown. I think it's cdma/edvo or something like that. See if you have that. If not, try a fresh install after wiping data, cache, dalvik-cache, and /system manually from recovery, NOT ROM MANAGER. That'll definitely fix it for ya ;-)
