I'm trying to get CWM and cyanogenmod on this tablet. I have it rooted and the recovery partition was modified to allow for adb access in recovery mode.

However, the Vizio device configuration appears to be very different from other android devices.
Most of the android device systems appear to have the following partitions:
/boot : Contains bootloader + kernel + ramdisk
/recovery : Contains bootloader + recovery kernel + recovery file system
/system : Android system files
/data : Android data partition
/sdcard : external sdcard partition

The Vizio partitions are the following
/kernel : Contains kernel
/ramdisk : Contains ramdisk
/reckernel : Recovery kernel
/recovery : Recovery partition file system
/system : Android system files
/data : Android data partition
/sdcard : internal sdcard partition (Also appears to contain a bootloader)

The biggest difference is that the /boot partition in the Vizio does not exist and is instead replaced by separate /kernel + /ramdisk partition. The same problem occurs with the /recovery partition as well. Therefore one needs to be very careful when flashing ROMs due to this difference in the file system organization.

Therefore the standard recovery/boot img created will not work on this. How would I go about modding this? Are there any other devices that have a similar layout? Thanks in advance for your help.
