There are more devs working on it now so hopefully we will get something soon. It is already bootable, just no RIL yet.

Anyone who really wants this to happen should go check this out. We have an experienced dev willing to knock out the RIL for us! http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1601947

Guess I will bump this... we got protekk on board now, with a rezound in hand.

And we got S=off...

A couple nice developments for us rezound owners.

Enthusiastically awaiting even a hint of Cyanogenmod for the HTC Rezound. :)  I upgraded my phone in order to give my old HTC Inc to my little bro, but I'm seriously missing Cyanogenmod and starting to regret my act of generosity...  If there was something I could do porting wise, I certainly would.

From what I've seen it looks like the hardest thing to get working is the service with CDMA and LTE, hopefully they (anyone working on the CM9 for rezound, really) can work something out soon, because I am dying to get my hands on it.

I for one would drop a huge donation on this. I am waiting for CM day by day. I personally do not care if I got 4g or 3g data on it. As long as I can make phone calls and test messages and use wifi i would be fine. Everywhere I go and use my phone has wifi so I would be good to go. But yes am indeed awaiting a cm9 release. And if there is anything I can do I will do it. lol

I would donate, again, to be able to have CM9.

It will help if HTC releases some ICS kernel source. The RIL (radio interface layer) also needs to be figured out, which I understand is harder with LTE radios.

That said, all that happened with the Incredible (whose CM7 I already miss). And there's a MIUI port that apparently mostly works.

I'm just hoping this phone doesn't get bypassed for the Galaxy S3 and future Verizon phones. I saw that the CleanRom developer (on a GSM Rezound apparently) has already moved on to the HTC One X.

The Rezound is on sale on Verizon's site now. $79 with new activation. Considering this phone is nearly 7 months old, it still has some rather impressive specs.

Sprint contract is up, and hubby gets a better discount on Verizon than we did with Sprint (and a few other factors work in) so we are switching to Verizon. It's usually cheaper to get "last year's device" ;)  so it's a toss-up between the Bionic, and the Rezound.

Though Motorola is nice, I'd like to keep with HTC. I lost CM once when I moved to an Optimus S a while ago, and once I got my EVO I realized how much I missed having CM on it. Also, considering I carry the EVO around with a 3500mAh battery in it, the Rezound's bulk doesn't bother me.

I'm frankly surprised there isn't an official for the Rezound, especially given its specs. But... there are so many phones out. Way different than CM 3.x and the HTC G1/Dream/Sapphire all those years ago.

At any rate... +1 for the devs on this.

Please?

Running Scott's CleanROM and...

It's just not CM.  I had a dInc...  And loved it to death...  W/ CM7...  The 2.6.35 kernel is on HTCDev for Android 2.3, I'd take CM7 for my Rezound any day.  I can download kernel/sources and upload them somewhere if anyone wants to take a look.

Running Slim's 3.14.605.10 Senseless ICS ROM.  Love the basic ICS feel.  But I'm hopin' an' wishin' for a dev to port the awesomeness that is CM9 to the chug-onaut that is my phone.  Max that bitch out.  I want customization beyond all reasonable expectations.

+1 for wanting CM9 on the rezound, I miss my OG Droid simply for the fact that I had CM on it... when I upgraded to the rezound I thought surely the most powerful phone on the market (at the time) will get CyanogenLove... What do we have to do to make this happen? Dmeadows13 was working on something, but it seems he got distracted with other stuff...

I think I'm pretty tired of the phone lottery: buying a phone with a proprietary ROM and just hoping that devs decide to work out AOSP for it IF the manufacturer releases certain source, and then if a dev gets the important stuff worked he might not release it because he is butthurt over people *****ing online. I'm going to keep my Rezound until I get another upgrade, but after that I think I'm just going to buy whatever the Nexus is that comes AOSP from the beginning. Don't think that I don't appreciate that devs do this in their spare time. I do. I really do. But, it seems that I always lose the phone lottery. I'm done. Going with whatever Nexus there is from now on.

My thoughts exactly... The Rezound was the top of the line HTC phone and as a top tier smartphone, I had no doubts that CM would be on it in no time. It literally kills me to have my Incredible in a sock, sitting in my desk drawer with CM 7 on it, while my Rezound gets some other ROM. I was tempted at first to go back to my Dinc, sell the Rezound, and save that money for the next Nexus phone. MAN I MISS CM SO MUCH!
