Forget about ICS on the Nook Tablet with a locked bootloader preventing you to drop a new kernel in there ...
As such, let's hope work on the NC continues and/or devs focus on the Kindle Fire.

Anyways, I just ordered a Nook color refurb ($119 - $15 groupon credit (for $7.50) = $111.50 !!!). So I'm back!
I'm very hopeful that CM8 or 9 will be ported for the NC.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and make some noise. Hopefully the developers will hear us

Damnit - I also just repurchased a NC via ebay. I wish I had known that there was a Groupon (or was that an old deal?)!

It was a deal from a couple of months ago. I was itching to use it, but everything I wanted on Ebay was under $15... until now

Nice - lucky you!
Guess I also missed the Kindle Fire for $124 deal at walmart/target (though there are more and more voices now that it was a scam).

I wont even entertain the thought that cm9 is not coming to the Encore

I am sure it will get CM9 - the question is when.
Dalingrin (one of the main devs for the NC) is primarily focused on the HP touchpad ...
