Hi all,

I downloaded the latest stable version compatible with the xperia arc, and followed the wiki on how to install it on the ARC. I rooted the phone, unlocked the bootloader, uploaded the imp and installed cyanogenmod from SD-card.

When all was one I restarted the phone, got the freeXperia logo then the cyanogenmod animated logo. After it, I had the android logo, but when i click it, I get the cyanogenmod animated logo again, sometimes it goes to the step where I need to select the gmail account then goes back to the animated logo, it was like getting into an infinite loop.

After having this problem for two days, I gave up, I downloaded again the stock rom and flashed it and all works fine with it.

Anyone got this problem before and if yes how to fix it. Is it safe to retry to flash cyanogemod again?

God! Read forum! Under stable mod on the forum there is clear statements of this exact behavior... However, what you need to do is to open the update zip on your computer and remove system/app/AntHalService.apk, this should fix your problem.

What I would do instead would be downloading fxp045 from XDA with is a later release by free Xperia with which you will get vibration. Just please don't ask me for a link because I bet you can goggles "fxp045 Xperia arc xda" just as easily as I can.
