The same happened to me. The device can't locate the sim network... It seems to me like it may be due to the fact tha tI won an R800a...

I had this and I was told it was down to the baseband version.  I had to update to 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 before attempting to flash.  Theres another topic in here and I think theres a link to a beta that gets round this issue.  I found a workaround (trial and error) as did another member.  This was for an R800i though, but it may be worth a try

If you check SIM lock on your phone setting, it will probably ask for a PIN even if you haven't set one up.  Have a read here

http://forum.cyanoge...ue-with-cm7101/

Again, my solution was trial and error, another member did it differently.  If your phone has set up SIM lock then I've been informed that it is down to an out-of-date baseband, so I had to update to 2.3.3

Click the link I posted and theres 1 or 2 ways that we got it working.  Basically you'll need a 2.3.3 or up firmware.

i have been trying to do what you said on that post but i cant even do the first bit with the flash tool bit, i have found the image and loaded it , the is a small problem loading the flashtool exe but works if you got direct to the jar file. i load the file but then i work flash to it , also watched a youtube video on it and it said to check your settings with the sony erricson software but i cant get that to connect , yet flash tool recognises the deivce . here is the log

Have you got 0.2.9.1 beta Flashtool? The log says its an X10 thats connected.  The newer versions are geared to the X10 and haven't been tested with R800

I downloaded flashtool beta version 0.2.9.1 and the device still does not show up on the list. And the software does not recognize it.

Does your device list have "S1 Fastboot" on it with a "!" next to it?  If so, you need to get the ADB driver.  Also, when flashing, hold down the back button when plugging in, not the search button.  Holding search button puts it in Fastboot mode

Yeah.... I don't know what I am doing wrong.... I even tried previous versions, as well. But this log came from Beta 0.2.9.1. Do you know if there is another way to flash these things? I am quite lost on this one... lol

Sorry to ask, but you're definitely pressing and holding BACK when connecting via USB?  Does the light turn green on your power button?

Yeah, I used to press search before, but not anymore... This log is from when I started pressing back.... Actually, when i press back and plug it in, it turns green, and then that is when it switches to:

ERROR - Please install or reinstall device drivers from drivers folder
