I know how to press-and-hold a desktop icon, but on my TouchPad, it doesn't bring up the little 'trash can'.

I can't move (or remove) icons from my desktop.

I *can* add icons from the "All apps" screen to my desktop.  But once they're there, I can't get rid of them.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Jon

The trash can should appear at the top of the screen as a long reddish bar - do you not have that?

Nope...  No matter now long I press-and-HOLD the icon, it never vibrates or 'detaches' from the desktop.  If I try to drag it, the entire screen slides left/right.  This worked on Saturday (I re-arranged my screen a lot), but now it doesn't work.  :(

There's an ADW option to Lock/Unlock the desktop to prevent/allow icons from being moved.  See if you can find that option and make sure it isn't locked.

Hi

you ve only to tap and hold the icon exactly. It also happened to me a few times. The screen is very precise.  If you move your finger only a little bit, it ll recognize it as a beginning of a switch.

(Hope you understand my nooby English)

The option is located under Menu > More > Unlock Desktop, for those wondering.
