It seems fairly stable to me. Here's the bugs I've noticed. I've kind of given up on the bug tracker, since my bugs are often marked as enhancements for no reason. Anyway: * The TV-off lock animation uses garbage for the texture (although this apparently fixes itself after some reboots). * The browser crashes randomly (stops responding; FC). Does no-one else have this? * Gyroscope scaling is incorrect (it is about 3 times too sensitive). I'd appreciate it if someone could double-check this. * You can't change the in-call volume. Can't find it in the settings and the volume control does nothing when you're actually in a call. * Wifi doesn't scan & reconnect to wifi reliably when you go to somewhere with a known wifi network. * The headphone volume appears to be clipped, i.e. when you set it to 50% it is actually already at 100%, and increasing it after that makes no difference. Since someone else said it was too quiet, I guess the bug may be more complicated. Maybe there is impedance detection or something? * Probably not a new bug, but in the storage settings, both /sdcard, and /sdcard/external_sd are called "SD card". I nearly wiped all of my data when I actually wanted to wipe the SD card! Fortunately at the last second I thought "Wait, they probably haven't bothered to change the name..." but I think a newbie could easily make the mistake.
Basically having these same issues, though as I use Dolphin I haven't had to suffer the browser FCs (haven't even used the stock browser enough to know if it's a problem or not). Though I get reasonably regular lock ups with the default Music app. Not FCs, it totally locks up and I have to force a power off and restart, which is pretty annoying.
The Wi-fi issues are really the annoying part for me, though. When I add a network it'll work fine for about a day, then it just becomes problematic along with all the others I have remembered in the settings. When I switch Wi-fi on, it'll just sit there "connecting" forever until I manually select a network from the list in settings, which basically negates the whole point of the notification toggle. Sometimes it just refuses to connect at all, and I have to reboot the device before it'll do anything wi-fi related.
Considering I have a pretty stingy data plan, and thus use Wi-fi a lot, this is a really crippling bug for me. I love the featureset of Cyanogenmod much more than Lite'ning which I was on before, and stuff like the insanely quick boot time really sold me at first, but at this stage I'm considering just waiting until CM9 and reflashing by backup of Lite'ning until then just so I have a fully useable phone again.
Has anyone had better luck with Wi-fi on any of the nightlies?
EDIT: I forgot to say how much I HATE the volume cap issue. It is indeed quieter than max volume should be, so not only do I have very little control over the volume since only the first 5 or so increments actually do anything, but I'm stuck with quiet music. Considering my two main uses for the phone aside from the obvious are as a music player and easy access to web and email (mostly via Wi-fi), both of which have serious issues on this ROM, the fact that I've even stuck with it this long is testament to how awesome the feature set of CM7 is. If these two key issues could be addressed either in a new stable or even a nightly, I'd be one happy camper, but as it is I find this ROM both rewarding and frustrating in equal measure.

my only complain is the camera, in darker places the photos are horrible, almost black..
