Hi!
I'm having some trouble installing cyanogenmod on my SGS2.
When I try to execute my update.zip file on the root, I have the following log:

-- Installing package...
Finding update package
Opening update package
Verifying update package
E: failed to verify whole file signature
E: signature verification failed
instalation aborded

The hash from the update file is ok.
I'm lost!

it sounds like you are trying to use the stock recovery and NOT clockworkmod recovery like the wiki says you should

The problem is that I'm rebooting with ROM Manager, who asks me if I really want to reboot in Recovery Clockworkmod
I don't really know what package I have to use, cause I can't download cyanogenmod directly from the ROM Manager (the list is blank)

Hi,

I had the same issue, what i did as other threads suggest is
1. boot on recovery mode (not reboot from ROM Manager as it displayed the same error you are having) by vol up + home + power
2. instal zip from sd
3. navigate to the folder you placed the .zip file and proceed flashing
4. after flashing do step #3 i.e. flash the zip one more time

and it should boot now with the CyanogenMod. Just joined to share this :)

We clearly need a "FLASH IT TWICE!" sticky.

When I had this problem there was no help anywhere, what I did was I held Volume up, home and power to get the Clockwork boot menu to appear from there I flashed it once and then installed the update package (without any signature problems) - phone restarted and kept looping on the CM7 boot logo sequence, so I flashed it AGAIN, and that definitely fixed it for me - much to my delight and wow the boot speed of this ROM was amazing.

I'm getting the same problem it appears...but I've loaded the 115 daily mod CM7 like 5 times and it seems to do nothing... Now i'm not sure how to get a stable mod running again.
Anyone able to help? Just stuck on the bootloop. I can get to the CWM recovery screen but the stock FW is not zip nor does it seem like i can load it in Odin.

What does the "stock FW" you're trying to flash look like? I.e. what kind of file? What makes it seem you can't load it in Odin?
