Hi all,
I have been trying to build the release 6 for Nexus One a few days now.
I have worked through most issues but this one I think I need some input on in regards to building the kernel
I have the .config extracted from the phone, and did menuconfig, and put it in system/kernel-msm within the cyanogenmod tree.
When I run make, the compile gets to the kernel and it does not seem to recognize there is a .config there.
The questions about kernel config popup and then waits for input.
I read on some posts that the cm-kernel should be downloaded and built but why is there a kernel inside the cyanogenmod tree then?
Could someone let me know what the expected steps for building the kernel are so I can get an update.zip file?
BTW, I have built the cm-kernel before, and many other stand-alone kernels without this issue. If I build the cm-kernel outside cyanogenMod, what should I
do to get the zImage back into the cyanogenMod build - it won't actually build the update.zip file if the kernel build won't complete in the tree - right?
Thanks in advance,
Adam
