Just thought i would share my setup. I unpacked the APK so i could change the launcher icons

Not sure if you looked in to it yet, but my 4g status icon still has issues. Still running nightly 153, thinking about flashing a newer nightly, i will edit this post with what i find on that.
Just flashed nightly 157 and the 4g icon is still not right. Not sure where to even start to get it fixed lol.

Thanks again for the great work.

Hello Dabbill,

I double-checked the redirections in both SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk and they looked good. :(

I cannot reproduce the problem because I do not own a 4g device, but I will dig in a little bit more.

I have already downloaded a Supersonic nightly, just to check if there is something i am missing.

BTW, could you post a screenshot showing the wrong icon (just to locate the specific wrong state).

PS: Great setup! Minimalism rocks!

Its useing stat_sys_data_wimax_signal_3_fully.png in drawable-hpdi. It switches much to fast for me to get a screen shot of it. And when 4g is connected no matter what the signal strength is it uses com_android_systemui_stat_sys_data_wimax_signal_0.png

It never seems to change 4G or the bars above it to the teal color. They stay gray till it switches to the stock GB green icon.

Dabbill thanks for the feedback,

Please check your pms :D

Hey man, loving the theme so much!
A question about the backgrounds. Did you do the one with the lights on the road, or someone else?
Would you be able to tell us how you did it?

Thanks

Hello LUCARiO,

It is a retouched illustration from an already existing image. I found the image on the internet and I wasn't able to find its author to credit him/her.
However I am pretty sure that if you have some basic skills with photoshop, you will be able to reproduce something similar easily.

Its not a hard thing to do, just takes some trial and error. You need a camera that you can adjust the shutter speed on. So for example, put the camera on a tripod, set the shutter to 4 seconds, and take the picture. Then just adjust the shutter speed longer or shorter to get the results your looking for. The longer the shutter is open the more blur you will get on moving objects.

Yeah, I already have existing photos with the "light stream" kinda thingy's but the blue is just sooo clean and the photo looks good.
If I had more time, a steady hand and maybe some better tools for photoshop I'm sure I would, but thanks for the update :)

Can anyone help a noob install this theme?  This is my first time installing a theme and the wiki says to copy the zipped theme to the sd card but its not zipped its just an .apk file.  Do I need to zip it?  The directions in this thread say to install it like any other 'application'?  Not sure what he means by that.  Thanks.

EDIT: I figured it out.  Thanks though.

Hello JibZ and everyone,

New version is up, take a look at the changelog. All request are not under consideration but in the "to do" list :D
From several reports, i've heard that it looks good in MDPI devices so give it a try :D

Hey man, awesome work with this theme, i totally love it. Thank you!

But I've got a problem, and, the thing is that when I reboot my phone it loads up the stock status bar with the green icons. So, what I do is choose another theme, then go back to the crystal theme, but then, i open my notifications and there's no notification power widget (which I use a lot). I don't know what's happening :(.My phone is a Nexus one and I'm running CM7 latest stable mod. also running LauncherPro.

Awesome theme again!

Hello nsjavier,

Several resources + the notification widget reload has changed in the latest nightlies. Crystal is based on the latest resources, so my suggestion is to move to the latest nightly.
I know that nightlies are tagged as highly experimental, but they really implement several new features and improvements that are worth.

Here is how it looks like on HTC Wildfire (MDPI):

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Not bad at all i think.. But maybe need some little tweeks in the future, if you want to improve it for MDPI ;)
Like, the "Carbon" bar on the top and some others parts, who looks good (I guess) on HDPI devices..

By the way, as you can see, the "Gallery" and "Youtube" icons are missing^^ :P
But very nice work as i said, the icons looks pretty cool :)

I will use it untill i find the way to make my own theme, as you ;)

PS: How do you do for your launcher bar in the bottom? to get the center app icon? i got the 4 squares only, you got the "16 squares" one..

Just installed the updated theme, reapplied it and now rebooting. I am still running nightly 153 (should have the same 4g stuff as newest nightly). The 4g icon is still staying gray even when a data connection is present. Also when its gray is shows full signal bars all the time. It turns cyan when some sort of data is passed but not sure. Like it does it randomly when just sitting at the home screen, but also does it randomly when loading a webpage or downloading something from the market. As far as i can tell when it does switch to cyan it shows the proper bars for signal strength.

Hello Dabbill and thanks for the report.

This bug seems to be haunting me in the latest releases :(
Can you tell me a theme with a working 4G wimax icon to use as a reference?

Okay just did some testing and here is what i have found out.

Switching to another theme while your meta theme is still applied.
4g icon acted the same way as it does with your theme, just with different colors. (used Sculpted theme from market)

Flashed newest nightly #162. (wiped cache and dalvik, did not do a full wipe)
Icon still acts the same way as described above.

Full wipe, flashed newest nightly #162
It seems 4g icon isnt even working correctly with nothing installed on CM nightlys.

So it looks like your theme is functioning the way the stock rom is. I thought it was working correctly before i installed your theme. Sorry for all the stress i might have caused you. :)

If i get some free time i will see if i can rip apart the stock rom and see what i find. Not sure how to do it, but will be a good learning experience for me. I do have some background in Linux so might not be to bad.

If you find anything that needs testing let me know. ;)
