I really don't have that. Am I flashing nightlies wrong? I'm on 70. Is it the method or restoring all my settings from backup? Am I overriding things when I restore?

are you restoring settings (aka system application) with titanium backup? if so, yes, that could very easily be the problem

Hmmm...ok I'm going to probably flash to the newest in the next day or two and I'll only restore my apps. I'll post back on this. Yeah I'm using titanium. Its a bit ironic because my phone runs better on each nightly so I thought I was doing things correctly.

This is most interesting...

I'm not using Titanium, I've just been running lippol94's cleaning script then flashing the nightly/gapps. everything has been very stable and working OK so I haven't thought there was an issue...until now.

I'm on build 70.

Yes very interesting. I never really asked and the wiki only tells you how to initially install cm7. It doesn't say the proper method for flashing nightlies and to not restore settings and what not.

So my bad on that, I was trying to save time getting my phone up and running without having to redo all the settings.

Eh...live and learn I guess.

ok so I just spoke with jt1134 (fascinate maintainer) and he realized the fascinate build was ignoring some aries-common overlay changes and is adding them to the fascinate-specific builds. LED notification settings should show up once those are merged into the source code.

Thanks for that Kaik. So can I still restore settings from the backup or should I only restore the apps?

to be frank, it's never a *good* idea to restore settings... but if it's from another CM7 nightly, it *should* be alright... no promises though

I just installed build #74. LED Notifications is available as you intended. Thank you jt.

As soon as I get 8 wisdom teeth pulled out of two kids I intend to throw a contribution your way ( I guess the dentist has a Porsche payment coming up).

I was going to wait until it went to RC to contribute but this ROM is too well done. You guys deserve all the good things that come your way for this.

So I see "update-cm-7.1.0-Fascinate-signed.zip". I also see what appears to be another nightly, #75.

The update file is listed as the stable version, that's cool I get it. So is the #75 just continuations of nightly iterations from the stable version?

Do I need to use the update-cm-7.1.0 or should I just download #75 and continue like normal with flashing?

I have read the directions posted in the stable thread but I think I'm missing a piece of information.

If I'm not clear my only other way to explain it is an example from K-9 mail. The market has one version which is technically the stable release and then other "nightly" style versions are released on their website. Should I think of it like that?

Hello Everyone!

I was wondering if there was a way to increase the 4 soft key's backlight! Is that just a bug that they aren't staying on or has it fixed? I am running the the stable release 7.1.0.

Thanks!

Has anyone else had a problem with speaker phone? I'm on Nightly 83 though this has been happening for a while.

While on speaker phone, the person I'm calling can hear themselves and it makes it sound like a bad connection. In addition, sometimes the end of what they're saying gets cut off. Any tips?

Did anyone else loose WiFi?  I did with nightly 82 and after repeated attempts at 82, 83 and now 85 as well as the stable mod I still get "error" when trying to turn on WiFi.

Is there a trick to getting this back?  I tried updating "permissions" through ROM manager too to no avail.

Thanks

Scott

Anyone else having issues adjusting call volume? The default setting can be way too loud sometimes, and a single notch lower lowers the volume to near inaudible levels. So there's max in-call volume, and whisper volume and no in-between.  Is this a known issue?

Yes, seems normal. I have the same issues, as well as the double incoming ring tone, it plays mine and another lower one in the background and when you answer, my ringtone is gone but the background one is playing over the phones ear speaker.

Yes, this is an issue also i'd say. I backed up my phone, installed latest nightly then when i realized I got wifi error I did a restore and everything worked.

I am about to try out the latest one yet, nightly 88.

Strange. Since the last couple of builds I've had probs with haptic feedback. Everytime I answer a call, disconnect a call or the face sensor comes near/away from my face I get a feedback response (not pleasant) and turning it off in preferences hasn't had any effect on it. Also if I'm on a phone and the face sensor is engaged to turn off the screen I get a weird chirp sound as well as the feedback. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've tried fix permissions and clearing out dalvik again. No dice. I might have to try a restore to pre-86. If anyone's had this and fixed it, pls let me know.**update**Flashed back to an earlier build,   then flashed build 90 and now all is well.

There appears to be SamsungServiceMode.apk in other builds, but not the Fascinate. Without it, we can't access the secret codes, or the recent HSPA Settings addition. Was it left out for a reason, or was this an oversight? Or is it just me?
