Given the recent explosion of nightly users, I understand your need for a place to discuss them, and/or ask if other users are having similar issues as you...this is that place

  • DO NOT: Post to the bug tracker
  • DO NOT: Open another thread (I will enforce this with temp bans)
  • DO NOT: Think of this as official forum support; this thread will be strictly user to user support. Don't expect CM-dev help.
** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.
**
** Please refrain from submitting bug reports for any issues
** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.

Anyone try the latest nightlies out yet?  Any fix for louder in-call volume?  That was my final main concern left.

Volume is much better. The signal bars are broken now. Doesn't show in the status bar how much signal you have. You can check signal in the about phone section but nothing in the status bar. I've tried everything I could think of to try and get them back. If you change it to show dB value instead of bars it just reads 85dB lol It drove me crazy so I went back to another build

I'm running jt1134's 07/17 build with the latest glitch kernel.  Have you tried nightly #3 with the glitch kernel or are you just running the include kernel?  I love that I am overclocked to 1.3 ghz stable and some of the other fixes in the kernel.  I don't know if I want to gain call volume but lose a ton of performance and signal bars.

What about 3g for NOT verizon users? I've tried jt's CM, and 3g was not working for Ukrainian operator "Intertelecom"

I've tried all kernels with them to get the signal bars to work. I am now running Imnuts07's 7/24 build with the glitch kernel since it is the most stable and has some audio fixes in it.

Does anyone have a legible change log that makes sense to an idiot like me?

I am receiving an error when flashing through ClockworkMod Recovery:

Error in /sdcard/cm_fascinatemtd_full-4.zip (Status 7)

Any suggestions on where to begin troubleshooting?

Follow instructions on this page. I had the same problem and it turned out my CWM version was wrong. http://wiki.cyanogen...ll_Update_Guide

That was it. CM7 installed without any problems. Thank you very much!

Hey guys glad to see the Fasciante get some CM7 love. I just updated to build 5 this early morning, The siginal bars are still broken, no led flashlight, and still now way to get register for auto updates via Settings>CM settings>System>Update Notifications. This is one thing i am really looking foward to. I have a Rom Manager perminum and it says "Faild to register". does anyone have a fix for this or still just have to download and flash the old fashion way?  Build 5 is way faster then build 4 just lost some stuff

Right now I would just keep downloading the way you are. For me CM7 doesn't even show up in ROM manager but I made the assumption that is was due to no stable release as of yet. Just keep on checking for those nightlies and we'll see everything fixed soon enough.

According to jt1134's thread on XDA the nightlies are not yet available on ROM manager, and asking for ETAS is not looked upon kindly :)  So for now, you must continue to flash through CWM

What color is your CWM? Curious if I might have a problem when I try to dl and install.

CWM version 3.x is orange in color. The one needed to install CM7 is actually version 4.x and teal in color. Hit up the link I posted above and it will solve all installation problems I can assure you.

Thanks.  I have the teal version.

I have flashed nightly 4, 5 and 6 but when I check the Mod version on my About Phone it shows CyanogenMod-7-07292011-NIGHTLY-Fascinate. Am I correct in thinking that indicates Nightly 4 is still on my phone and the newer versions failed to install?

[Edit] I tried several re-flashes without success. I then reflashed the stock ROM and unrootd the phone, rerooted and flashed nightly-6 without any problems. Not sure if the phone is a little glitchy or if I'm doing something wrong during the process but so far this ROM is worth it, very nice!

I just flashed 6 and mine reads CyanogenMod-7-08022011-Nightly-Fascinate.  No issues at this time.
