Google Market downloads fail

Every time I try to download something from the Google Market, it fails.  I even reinstalled the cm7 rom after I wiped the system.  I can download stuff from the Market website to my phone, but I can't download anything from the Market client on my phone.  I keep getting "Download was unsuccessful, please try again".
