What are the current but list for the device (what doesn't work)?

From the XDA thread (author atinm):

Quote

Q: What are the known issues?
A: Issues that I can remember:
- Video playback - some formats are not recognized, use an alternative app for video playback
- Camera - some modes don't work
- TVout, MHL
- FMRadio
- Issues when using the 2G/3G-Switch
- Volume issues (some report too high, others too low)

The only one of those that has affected me was the 2G/3G switch.  I lost signal after toggling that and had to reboot and wait a few minutes before I had signal again.  The native FM radio app doesn't work; am unsure if other radio apps do.  Haven't personally had issues with camera or video formats.

Still too much issues for me to use CM.. I'll wait for working version... from the AOSP ICS I saw that they have fixed some of the issues that is in that list. Don't know why they haven't merged in CM

I just bought the Galaxy S2. Is the CM version good? whats the status on this rom? I'm loving the battery life on stock, so if battery sucks, ect, i'll wait for a stable.

The buildbot is borked.  I believe it was being fixed this past weekend.

Battery life with the latest nightly (#116) is incredible.  I play with my phone all day and I usually have close to 50% left at the end of the day.  There are a few bugs which is to be expected, but all in all its pretty stable, great battery life and blazin fast.  Try it out.  If you don't like it you can always Odin back to stock.

I'm running the nightly #116 - and have done so since it came out about 10~12 days ago with no problems. Battery life is good - for me I use about 40% of my power over the course of the day on campus where there is poor reception, so I turn off 3G and use the reasonably good wifi campus wide. On the weekend, it's maybe 50% for the day, 3G only. Your mileage may vary depending on lots of factors, including usage.

As I understand #114, #115 and #116 are 7.2.0-RC0, so it's very close to being branded stable - and looking around both here and XDA, the number of issues people are running into are low, and mainly for feature requests at this point any how.

EDIT: typo

from twitter (Chris Soyars):

CyanogenMod nightly builds are still down, no ETA. Also, they will *not* be CM9 when they come back. They will still be CM7.

Had the 2G/3G Switch Problem. Sometimes just lost the data signal and it only came back when activating Airplane-Mode and deactivating it again (instead of reboot).
I have changed the Baseband-Version to KI3 a few days ago and don't have this problem anymore.

Hello, the original rom can block "private numbers, call hidden" on the stable version that is not possible. Is that possible on the nightly?

Thanks

[EDIT]:  For those interested just add the black list in 0000 and it blocks all private numbers

Sorry for my English

hi there,

first time here. Downloaded and installed latest nightly build of cyanogen. all worked fine and the mod is just great.

i just have one problem:

whenever my phone is switched off and i attach the cable to charge the battery, the phone boots automatically and cyanogen starts... what could that be? is that a kernel related problem? i use codeworkx's Kernel with the ClockworkMod Recovery 4.0.1.4

It's a known issue.  If you have USB debugging enabled this will NOT happen.

I am pretty happy with #115. Not many random reboots... perhaps one per week or so. I am a bit frustrated with the slightly bad GPS reception though.

That kernel would have been replaced by the CM7 kernel when you flashed the nightly.  You should have CWMR 5.0.2.7 now.

thank you! that worked for me. :-)

another guy over at the stable release forum just flashed the rom again and resolved the problem that way... LINK

ROM Manager says i have now 4.0.1.5

but when i boot into clockwork it says 5.0.2.7... so i think rom manager is wrong :P

anyway... thx again for your help. :-)

Cyanogen includes two versions of CWM on the Galaxy S2. That's probably because on the Galaxy phones, unlike in other Android devices, the recovery image is part of the kernel. So the CWM and ROM Manager are not fully aware of this special situation.

Choosing "reboot to recovery" in ROM Manager takes you to the 4.x version of CWM. The whole process is kinda unstable (semi-bricked my phone once) and I tend to not use ROM Manager anymore, but rather the specially SGS2 made "CWM Manager" that comes with the Siyah kernel.

Hi all,

Is this the official thread for the ROM? Seems very little traffic. Also does anyone know when the nighties will start again? Have been on 115 for some time now and find it fairly stable. My phone has shutdown ~2 times in since I flashed it out of blue though.
