How long should it take to do a system backup in recovery? I tried doing a backup and it sat on backup system with no movement on the status bar for about a hour. I finally pulled the battery and let the phone reboot. Anybody else try to do a backup and how long did it take?

It has never taken me longer than ten minutes to do a backup. You might try and reinstall cm7 or if you are not on cm7, re-install bootstrap program. If you are on cm7, don't install any bootstrap program from the market and run it. If you do, you will have to sbf your device. I think that if you are on any other gingerbread rom, the droidx bootstrapper program will not work correctly. You have to use the bootstrap program for droid2. Can anyone else confirm that?

On Gingerbread DX bootstrap will work with debugging off.

Lol I wished I read the last post before I tried to bootstrap my phone. Can't exactly sbf it at the lake.... Have to do it when I get home. I used the droid 2 bootstrape insted of the X's and got the same result. Still had debugging on so I don't know if having it off will work.
