108,

No built in tethering (sorry for noobness)

change text colour to black, changes the background to black, but keeps the text black as well effictebly limiting the ability to see the text.

And apparently my phone doesnt ring for every call, and google voice doesnt pop up informing me of new voicemails. Id like to hope that this is my fault for not fully setting it back up, but yeah.

No default alarm clock?

lastly, is there a changelog somewhere?

If she has Verizon - the tethering will be monitored and they might charge her.  You can still get her phone to tether without root - like with PDAnet or something similar.

Thanks for the heads up on the tethering. On a bright note I was finally able to flash back her stock ROM back onto her D2G. I used my work computer used RSD lite and it worked like a charm. Hoping the final version of cyanogenMod 7.1 is released for the droid 2 global soon :).

Reminder: Since there is no technically stable release of CM for the Droid 2, simply saying that it is "bad" for whatever reason, is rather useless. Please let us know the specific nightly number that you flashed. I can tell you that the nightlies have been pretty stable lately, so please update to build 112 or newer before complaining.

Reconfigure your button in CM Settings > Interface tweaks > Notification power widget > Widget buttons > Sound modes.

A recent commit changed how the buttons for sound and brightness work.

Edit: a wise man once told me that wiping data from rom to rom is a very good idea for avoiding any bootloops/rom problems. *Facepalm*

I don't believe it matters if you are on froyo, as long as you are rooted. I think it updates to gingerbread for you. And I've never had a problem with livewallpapers. The ones that come with don't work, but I've download a ton of the marketplace and not one has crashed.

Not yet. The official nightlies are still based off of Froyo and require the Froyo bootloader. RevNumber's unofficial builds use the Gingerbread kernel and require the official Gingerbread bootloader. Eventually the official build will be GB based and should autoupdate.

The stock live wallpapers don't work with the Froyo base but do with the Gingerbread base. Most live wallpapers downloaded from the market work fine. This is one of those issues that won't be fixed since it will be moot once the official build moves to the GB base.

I've noticed the alt-lock button doesn't work on nightly 122. Is this the case for anyone else? Otherwise, I'm hard pressed to find any real issues with this mod... Its WAY more stable than the stock VZ GB firmware for D2.

Is this a confirmed thing? It seems that official will most likely go straight from Froyo to ICS, I may be wrong, and as long as it doesn't affect CM9 at all I'm all for official going to GB.

This is highly unlikely for the D2 (and DX and D2G). The locked bootloader means we are stuck with whatever kernel Motorola decides to provide. It's a very long shot that Moto updates our phones to ICS so that means the best we get is a GB kernel.

The alt-lock and microphone buttons haven't ever worked unfortunately. It appears that their functionality is tied into the Blur libraries so making them functional would take a bit of work. Since they're non-essential functions they are low on the priority list for bugs. Sorry. :(

No worries, I figured it was something like that.  Thanks for the update though!
