So, we have a YouTube page with over 2,500 subscribers. I setup that account quite some time ago with the view of creating official Tutorial videos for users to browse and help them with flashing, themes, nandroid backup's, mods, hacks etc ... all of which that would be done whilst using CM products.

Are there any budding YouTuber's or video makers who wish to be part of the tutorials team?

If you think you are able to help and are willing to create some YouTube videos, then please mention here below. The requirements you must fulfil are as follows;

* HD Videos (large, good quality videos will suffice)
* You must speak / talk through the tutorial in a legible and clear language. (foreign languages are also required)
* The back drop for the recording must be clear and tidy.
* You will be supplied with the CM logo to place at the beginning of each video.
* You will be supplied with an FTP to upload videos where they will be then uploaded to YouTube by the CM Staff.

Please nominate your selves below if you feel you can help with this.

List of needed videos

Video on how to:
-Gain root
-Install bootloader
-Install CM Rom
--Show features of Rom
-Install CM updater
--Show features of updater
-Install themes
-Update CM Rom

Phones Needed: All / Any

While I don't feel like creating tutorials, I can provide a helping hand on editing the videos. I'm fairly experienced with editing, CGI and animation, just PM me if you want links to some of my projects!

This is a great idea, Satan!  I suck at all this stuff so I cant really help, but I wanted to encourage others to step forward.  Out of just the 400 or so peeps in the cm IRC channel, there has to be 10 that are good at this kind of thing.

I could do french ones provided with english text translation of my speech

I would do so because my spoken english is very bad, but my written one is not that bad.

I would only need an editor who could add my translations to the videos from a.txt (or .xls with timestamps) since I am very working slowly on video edition.

yes i can make some videos i haven't used my youtube in a while yet i keep getting more and more subscribers
could even make a new account if necessary to keep things organized
and since i am on a mac i would have no problem making tutorials for the narrow amount of users on a mac
just give me things you need tutorials of and you will have your videos
and i know how to do just about everything in the forums but if something is needed that i don't know.. just a quick written summary and then i can break it down for everyone

message me if you are interested ...

I'm interested...if you don't mind videos by a new Cyanogen user and novice videographer.  I'm preparing to make the following upgrades to my G1 and would be happy to record the process:

* Replace CM Recovery 1.4 with Amon_Ra Recovery Image
* Install DangerSPL
* Upgrade to CM 5.0.7 from 4.2.15.1

Could you identify a few existing YouTube videos that would be good models for CM tutorials?  Thanks.

not trying to hate, but its clear you are pretty young from hearing you in your videos.
I think it'd be better to have someone older represent cm.
nothing personal, it'd just make for a better image.

I'd also like to help.
I can edit videos, or translate them. I'm Polish.
Unfortunately I don't have YouTube account, but it isn't a problem, is it?
So if you want my help, just write ok? I'd be happy to help. :)

Hello satan R1, I can create tutorials with ease.  Right now I only have 1 vid shot in the dark but have had positive feedback on the video.  I record using a Logitech Quickcam9000 with 720p HD recording.  I am currently 22 years of age, and would be able to dedicate approx 5-15 hrs a week on videos depending on the needs.

I have taken video productions courses, if you need more info please contact me.

I'll go ahead and assume you're going to need people with different phones to work on these tutorials. I've got an HD video camera, and (as you can tell) I'm running a g1 with 5.0.7.

My email is in my profile and I'm on IRC nearly 24/7

I think I can contribute if you're still looking for people. I used to make gaming montages so I'm not that bad with video editing programs, although I'm not great with special effects I don't think tutorials require them. I can speak clearly and with a little direction I'm sure I can pump out some tutorials. I only work two days a week so I have plenty of free time for things like this. Anyway let me know if you're interested.

Edit: I'm 22 years and if I don't have all the tools to make tutorials I can get them. I have an unlocked Nexus One running on Froyo for now. I have had several versions of cyanogen's mod

I have a camera that records in 720p, a Nexus One, G1, and already have an Android YouTube account so I have an idea on how to do this stuff. PM here or DM me on Twitter if you want me.

If we're doing tutorials, I'm pretty sure all we need is Camtasia or Fraps to record the majority of the footage.
I can help you guys with making the videos or handling post-production through AE & Premiere.
I also have a pretty formidable guerrilla filming rig using a Canon HV30 as a base through a 35mm DOF adapter with some other cookies :D
I can send you some video samples of a few small projects I worked on while during college if you'd like.

dang, i gave up and sold my hv30 because i couldn't afford getting the adapter and lenses.
i vote this guy to make our vids because the quality of the videos will be amazing.
i'm sure he has a professional mic as well. or at least one that is a birrion times better than a consumer usb mic.

Thanks for the responses so far everyone, we have been overwhelmed with offers, but I have not yet seen any footage from anyone?

If anyone has actually done one specifically for this request, please let me know where it is so I can review it.

Once the footages have been reviewed, we can all decide what tutorials really need creating so they can be put together.

TIA.

Satan, can you post a video as an example? Some of these folks can probably then submit, or better express their questions and skills. I assume you're looking for a tight capture of the phone in action, either by an external device or screen capture via dev tools.
