What patch for camera bug are you referring to? I would like to check it out.
http://www.mydroidwo...-cm7-found.html

Here's the patch for the camera which is apparently fixing YouTube and Netflix as well. You can replace the files manually or use the CWR flashable ZIP that P3Droid put together.

Is the camera fix going to be added in to the next nightly?

So I went from RC0 directly to the latest nightly (6).  Google Maps seem to find me via GPS and Navigation finds my location (but I can't test its accuracy in my office :P) however Beautiful Widgets can't find me.  Anyone else have apps that can't seem to use GPS?

That is because BW (and most weather apps) use network location not GPS.   Network location is still broken but there are some rumblings that there may be a fix coming soon for that.

How about location tagging not working on the camera?  I thought that was GPS?  Or is that a separate problem all together?

Using cm_shadow_full-6.zip

I'm getting errors:
assert_failed: run_program("/tmp/check_kernel") == 0
E: Error in /sdcard/cm_shadow_full-6.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Just tried installing this mod, and since I've rarely done something like this before I'm not sure what my error is.

I've installed and am using ClockworkMod Recovery (Droid 2) for my Droid X and I am currently on 2.3.3_4.5.573 (That is 2.3.34, right?)

Unless I am not on that kernel at all... my "About" tells me I'm on : 2.3.3 (huh, does this sound right?)

Any ideas?

It sounds like to me you're on the Gingerbread build. You have two options. Either SBF back to FROYO (technically 2.2, but Moto called it 2.3.340 for some stupid reason) or use the "Monster Zip" provided by mydroidworld. The supported method is the first method, which would be SBF to Froyo, root with Z4, install Droid X (or 2) bootstrap, boot into clockwork, install the CM4DX zip. After you're on CM4DX, you can then use the integrated "reboot recovery" to flash forthcoming nightlies, but under NO circumstances should you install D2/DX Bootstrapper.

yep... also a good idea to do a backup before you flash anything in case you want to go back.

you don't have to put it in root directory, just somewhere you can find it.

Install the nightly from download.cyanogenmod.com or through ROM manager > download rom  manually (make sure you use the "2nd-init" version of rom manager), and the app will recognize it as a nightly and offer updates if you run premium. Right now, its looking for another RC to give you, and the nightly builds don't qualify.

This isn't working for me. I installed the nightly as described and am running ROM Manager Premium.

Hello guys! I have just installed Cyanogen 7 nightly 6 on my Droid X. However it seems that the  ##7764726 menu is no longer available. I need to change some things in there after the last update (I SBFd back to install CM7 and that deleted my settings). Is there any other way to get it back?

Also... I have a baseband update zip file that I made out of the Mexican version of the droid in case anybody wants it. It does not have the pre-defined NV values the Verizon BB has.

Thanks!

I actually didn't know it didn't work anymore. I would wait until Nightly 7 is out for cvpcs says that there was I think 1 line of code that broke many things. He says he will have a fix that is supposed to be in the next nightly… check to see if the menu is back then.
If not, then it means Cyanogen doesn't support that menu. I am new to Cyanogen as well so don't take my word for everything.

I was getting the same error message after trying to install #5. I have been running cm7 since release installed nightly #3 and #4 with no problems whatsoever. I tried everything but could not install #5 or #6, couldn't even reinstall any of the previous nightlies I had ran before. I made sure I was in the correct recovery.  I ended up installing the all in one over the top with no wipe, now its running perfect with no kernel errors.  Its confusing because I sbf'd the very first install and I wasn't  real confident the monster zip would fix my problem but so far so good!
