I have bug to report (slax version);

When the phone is locked, if you press menu two times, its open again. You don't have to slide the lock over to the right at all. My one year old son found out about this in seconds...

I went to the security section in settings, and chose that pattern unlock option. Now it work fine.

sorry for long time no back, I am ready to graduate entrance examination.

   -These is a WiFi dynamic IP problem, you can use a fixed IP address to resolve.maybe it can be solved in the next version.
   -Overclocking script is used to those people want to develop, ordinary users do not need this.in fact next version will provider a overclock 2.2 kernel.
   -Some calls can not be reach using EDGA, please try to change another SIM card borrowed from others, and tell me the result.i search this problem in google,it seems this problem caused by the  telecom operators ……I'm sorry, I can not solve this problem, because I can not get enough information and Reproduce the problem in my phone.
   -RE&launcherPro english translation problem will be solved in the next version,sorry for this, i use Chinese all the time,it difficult to find this kind of problems.........
   -Installation method is to extract the 7z package, and then look the Change-log inside it.......

sverred: this is not a problem ... is a Feature ... you can change it in Settings-> CyanogenMod settings-> Lockscreen-> Unlock options-> Menu unlock

Update:
1、sole app2sd problem, if your sdcard has ext234 partion, it will auto reboot 3 times when you frist install this rom, but after this,it only the /data/app move to sdcard,the cache is still in data, you can install a terminal to your phone(another way is run "adb shell"in your computer), run"su"(without"), if your phone need root, press accept, after this,run"a2sd cachesd"(without"), if your phone reboot that means your app2sd is working now!
2、auto overclock,122-800.
3、auto open swap,in application swapper2.
4、it was too big in sp5's sdcard mount to compuer's icon.
5、thx tooken to help me to solve the 2.6.32 overclock kernel touchpad problem,athought it only change the touchpad to a home button without touch-ability.
6、update rootexplorer & busybox,solve the english translation problem
7、if you login to google account in full version,you could turn off gtalk's autologin,otherwise it will use too much power.

if don't use GoogleAccount,you could delete /system/app/ GoogleServicesFramework.apk & AccountAndSyncSettings.apk

1:shutdown the phone,
2:hold on push volume- & EndCall & PowerButton, the phone will enter splash screen.
3:connect to your computer,if requrst divres,search in Google and install it.
4:run "windows 2.3.bat"or"linux 2.3.sh".

First, many thanks to slax for this port, which is looking really good so far

Apart from the reported bugs;

All barcode scanning apps crash & the camera is unusable after that until reboot. (maybe a zxing lib problem?) this is the same in all the gingerbread roms I've tried.

The window title and link to launcherpro.com in launcherpro preferences are still in chinese, but this is trivial.

Overclock to 800 seems stable (played angry birds for 1/2 hour to stress test)

fwiw I flashed this in os x with fastboot-mac, procedure is identical to linux.

Great work! I'll be using this one, and hoping for fixes for the remaining issues.

Camera works for one picture then crashes. Batterylife has gone down to about 5 hours in standby...

Camera works for me with the stock camera program or lgCamera... after flashing u have to resetr ur battery stats in recovery mod a nd recalibrate ur battery. And after flash, plx do a hard reset. It solves everything....

Guys i need help, i did everything and now when phone rebooted, it wrote android, and after that theres just huawei logo repeating all over again, and thats all. Did i do something wrong or theres something more to do. Thanks

I updated to the SP6, and everything, even the camera, seems to work fine. But I have lost all my apps and now I can't even get the android market app, because "it doesn't support the huawei 8500"...

And if I go to the android market web site, and try to downloawd the apps I had before directly, it says I allready have them...

Does anyone have a clue where they are, and how can I get android market back?

I have problem moving apps to sd.  I tried with app2sd(some error poped up), then I tried with Titanium, and it doesn't move. I tried to restore apps direcly to sd but this try failed too.
Anybody knows how to solve this problem?

I succeed to install this rom, and its seems nice.

I got few questions to ask
1.Can we somehow have live wallpapers, or can you slax put them in next update or something
2. How can we make camera work, i saw some people said they have camera working
3.Can we make USB work, I mean it connects but cant turn on USB storage to copy files from PC.

app2sd has problem ,only move to fat but also to ext,
the problem is kernel.i had been solved it ,
wait for next version to fix it.
next version will be a big change.has a lot of update,including swap in /cache data2sd sounds boot-time .....

Could you please fix the OpenGL ES problem? Everything is ok when using the stock ROM...
