I just flashed to nightly 136
noticed that push emails are not working, i would need to manually refresh each of my exchange accounts to receive my emails
what or how do i resolve this issue?

My exchange push notifications are working fine for #136, but I only have one exchange account.

Not that I can figure (assuming you double checked the settings to ensure you are supposed to get notifications - I have had to reset these in the past)... the only difference may be if you have multiple exchange accounts, but I'm not sure how that would affect anything.

Has anyone seen this on any nightlies (I'm on #136): The phone has turned off (gone into permanent sleep) randomly a couple times and I can't turn it back on until I take the battery out. The screen seems to turn off like it does when it goes to sleep, but won't wake up. If I take the battery out and restart, it works fine again.

This happened to me today. I'm running 138 right now but it also happened on some earlier nightlies as well (90-100, I don't remember which ones specifically).

Are you using any third party CPU scalers like SetCPU? I have read it causes issues with CM, especially now since it has it's own built-in scaler. As a side note, instead of removing and inserting the battery, you can cold reboot it by holding vol up + vol down + power for ~7 seconds. I prefer that, since you don't have to open the case, and it feels like it's "nicer" to the phone.

[EDIT] I was using SetCPU myself previously, and I had a profile that capped the CPU to 100 MHz when the screen was turned off. That was way too low, and made my phone behave like you describe. [/EDIT]

I'm not using anything like that. I've been toying with getting SetCPU or OS Monitor, but I hadn't gotten around to it on this nightly. Thanks for the note on the other way to boot... sounds far easier than removing the battery :)

Hmmm... when on #104 I had OS monitor but uninstalled it when it seemed to max my CPU all the time. I didn't do a full wipe for #136... could there be something latent there causing me issues?

I am not using SetCPU or OS Monitor and have never had either installed on this particular phone. I had SetCPU on my old Aria, but the built in CM7 method is basically the same as SetCPU without some of the advanced features. I keep my Captivate running with max frequency of 1200 and min of 100 and either On Demand or Conservative scaling. I tried my phone with min of 200 and 400 and battery life was an issue along with a google services framework crash so I went back to 100 as my min and haven't had any issues with stability, other than the not waking up issue, but that has only happened 3 or 4 times since I got the phone in July.

I've got a question regarding music playback stuttering or skipping when the screen is shut off. After a few seconds to a minute or two it will stop. I've tried several music players and it appears to happen regardless of app in use. I'm running nightly #140 now and this behavior has been going on for a few months through several nightlies. Not sure if anyone else can replicate the issue or not. It's obviously a minor issue and an annoyance rather than a major functionality issue but I'd like to figure out why it's happening.

If anyone can replicate or has any ideas on troubleshooting I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

This solution seems to work for some people:

When on the home screen hit Settings > Language & keyboard > Language > English (US). Select it again if that was already the selected language

Just went from RC1 to 139 - camera was not working and everything was choppy so reinstalled 139 and wiped all cache, etc. now everything works and is much smoother... and I have no apps/have to redo all my settings. :(

Issue, however: no matter how many times I try, I cannot install the Google Apps .zip file that I downloaded with the latest nightly. The newest Google Talk (w/ Video) installed just fine. I have tried installing via ROM Manager and Recovery, but to no avail. Any advice?

Possible critical issue

I have been going back and forth with T-Mobile in the US regarding not being able to dial 911. I get an "all circuits are busy now" error message every time. Today, they informed me that it is a software issue with the device. I confirmed this by taking my SIM out and putting it in another unlocked phone and dialing 911: it worked. This could be a critical issue, so I implore you: if you are using CM7 on T-Mobile in the USA, please check to see if your 911 is working and reply to the thread.

On Nightly 140, camera force closes. This was a complete wipe/format/clean install since 139. Trying latest nightly now.

I had the same issue after #136 I believe. I had to go into the app and clear data. Then it started working again.

This happened to me on 141 and I had to wipe data and restore a  from about a week ago. After getting that working, I re-flashed 141 and it worked fine.

*Edit: 141 started giving me google framework crashes again and other force close issues. I'm gonna do a clean install and see what happens.

Did anyone try test calling 911? I think that is a fairly critical issue. Can people please try and reply to the thread?

I was in a car accident last weekend and was able to get through to 911 without any issue on AT&T

Thank you. Can one other person test with T-Mobile in the US?
