personally, i d'load the nightly, reboot into recovery, install zip from SD card, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik and reboot

haven't lost messages or settings yet
Confirm :))

I successfully updated from #94 to #102 :)
Except i haven't wiped Dalvik and wiped cache before backup and update, but everything seems to work flawlessly :)

So for me it was: reboot into CWM, wipe cache, backup, install update from sdcard (cm_galaxysmtd_full-102.zip) and reboot.

I ended up doing a factory reset to see if BT works without any apps installed and it did, so I used Titanium Backup to reinstall my apps and system data piece by piece (obviously starting with the stuff I thought was most likely to conflict with BT) and I found that my BT Pairing data was corrupt. So I deleted that backup from TB, reflashed the ROM, and thein reinstalled all my apps. Voila, it's working perfectly now. Doing this also cleared up a whole bunch of Force Closes I was getting on other apps too, so that was an added bonus.

Thank you for this. I managed to get around the factory reset by deleting everything under /data/misc/bluetoothd/ and rebooting.

Hi, im here again, stay for free night and I found that battery drain is present due to unknown problem. Firstly i'm on live wallpaper, Bluetooth, GPS. Second time i'm on only Bluetooth, GPS. now the latest one only left network opening. The battery drain took my 10% in 4 hours, all the same...
Could any one help me on this?

I've found battery in CM7 is one thing where it needs improvement. For me, if I disable data (3G data, not wifi data) I get insane battery life. I think my record was almost four days. If I enable 3G, my battery lasts anywhere from 6 hours (heavy use) to 12 hours (light use).

There's definitely some battery drain issues with 3G enabled, but I don't think it's a bug. I just think there's more optimization to be done. Trust me when I say this: CM has come a LONG way on the battery life front since the early nightlies became available for the Galaxy S. I remember my phone being stone dead after 90 minutes with nightly 12 or 13 and 3G enabled.

Hi,

I am currently running Darky's Rom version 10.0 RC6 .
Firmaware Version 2.3.3
Baseband Version 19000XXJVK .

I want to flash the CM7 103 nightly version.

Should I go back to foryo bootloaders? Or GB bootloaders are compatible with CM7 ? What would be the best way to go about flashing CM7?

Thanks for the help :)

Check out http://goo-inside.me for a radio for your model. You'll probably want the radio file from a Captivate if you're in the USA.

Cyanogen for the I9000 supports the same frequencies out of the box that the Samsung rom does, so if your model is just an I9000, then you should be all set. Did your phone come from a different region, or is it an I9000B or T or something? Not sure all the differences.

Forgive me though...your country flag is the US one, so I just assumed that's where you were located.

Yesterday, i have a new bug.

I put the upper dock bar (Widget), the Toggle 2G/3G function.I turn on this function after this.

Yesterday, i want to turn off, but its dont do anything.
I go to settings , and turn off manual 2g mode.

After this i want to use internet, enabled data connection, but its not connecting.
I tried to turn on again 2g mode, but again cant use internet...

I got home, and restarted the phone.
After this dont ask me for pin code.I lock out with my sign the screenlock, and have an error message, the phone app (i dont remember the full name) is stopped.Only can close this message.
And aigan ,and again, and again.

I try to go back to 103 version, but its dont help.
I try to go again 104, with cache and setting reset. Its solved the problem.

Can anybody help what do i wrong?

Copy nightly to sdcard, Recovery, format /system, flash nightly, flash gapps (optional), fix permissions, reboot. Done. No need for backups, maybe just clear app data if some app fcs.Sleeeepppp.

Hi there.

I have some big crazy lagging problems with the CyanogenMod browser while accessing various websites. One example is cracked.com.

Does this site works fine on your CM7 galaxy S phone or is just mine causing troubles?

Hi,

I installed the latest Nightly (104) on my GS and I'm looking for an option that should be in the wireless settings to force the network to use 2G or 3G or auto. CM7 allows to force 2G but not 3G, and this option would help me as my work area is a little saturated and you can have 3G ony by forcing it on the phone. Is there any way to do this with CM7 ?

Thanks for the help and for making CM7 such a good ROM :)

2g/3g bug, don't use widget to switch between 2g and 3g with data call active; only chance is to go in recovery, reflash nightly.
