Hi,
first of let me tell you how much i appreciate all the work you people put into this mod, i love it.
Today i decided to upgrade my phone from the nightly build 14 (which i have had since it was released) to the RC1. Unfortunately i was rather stupid and did not read the instructions carefully enough (yes, i am one of those people -.- ).

Instead of installing the RC1 over the the nighty like i understand i was supposed to i whiped data/factory reset, then cache and dalvic cache and proceeded to install the RC1-Zip from sd-card.

My recovery is CWM-base Recovery v.4.0.1.4.
EDIT: this was after installing nightly98, i now went back to nightly14 and now have CWM 3.1.0.1 (with the rom-manager icon in the background) again.

Now each time i boot i het the samsung galaxy logo, then cyanogenmod logo, then a quick flash of text(rom-manager icon in the background) and the phone reboots.

I was able to reboot into recovery and then re-installed nighty14, which worked fine for me all the time. Now my phone boots again, but it doesnt detect a mobile network, and when i try to scan for one it gives my an error (error while searching for networks, or something very similar). I cant even make sos-calls.

I also tried installing nightly98 over my nightly14 by now, same results as with RC1.
I also tried to fix permissions (in ROM-Manager and in Recovery)

Does anybody have an idea what i can do to regain network access. I would be totally happy with haveing nightly14 back and phone working. A working RC1 would be even better of course.

Please, go easy on me, i am kind of a noob to this entire flashing thing and i was stupid, i realise that.
Also, please excuse my english, i am not a native speaker.

Thanks a lot in advance for any help you can offer.
Sati

Team i had an issue of upgrade failure and making me to flash my phone over n over again this was a result of broken cyanogenmod downloads..

Is it possible to validate the update.zip before installing it....

think about it.

lol you mean like the md5sum we clearly provide for you to verify your downloads? if you don't know how to use this, don't blame us because you don't know how to do so. it's up to you to verify the download, not us (and an md5sum only takes a few seconds). this comment is so very misinformed...

Try fixing permissions in rom manager, and clearing data for the apps that are FC'ing.

try this.. shutdown phone. then boot in to recovery.wipe cache partition, now go to mounts and storage and do Format system. then flash the RC1 and fix permissions. only then boot your phone again! not a second before.

see if that works.

I ended up doing a factory reset to see if BT works without any apps installed and it did, so I used Titanium Backup to reinstall my apps and system data piece by piece (obviously starting with the stuff I thought was most likely to conflict with BT) and I found that my BT Pairing data was corrupt. So I deleted that backup from TB, reflashed the ROM, and thein reinstalled all my apps. Voila, it's working perfectly now. Doing this also cleared up a whole bunch of Force Closes I was getting on other apps too, so that was an added bonus.

huhuhu~ thanks for your info!! now my bluetooth working back~ pairing memory problem thx...

That is entirely possible. The FAQ does state fairly clearly that **** may be broke very badly.

I'm on 96, and am having no trouble at all with any of the stuff I need, so I think I'll be staying put until maybe the next RC.

That is the exact same problem i´m having except i´m using exchange not pop3. Im gonna hit the shower and than i´m gonna flash the latest nightly and to a full wipe.
I´ll report back with the result.

-EDIT- Reflash and full wipe did the trick, no more fc on email.

Why don't you just use the screenshot option on the menu presented when you hold the power key?
Based on what you're saying it's drocap itself that's killing your battery!

It seem like his software making battery drain, but mine same as well...
currently running on build-99 and sported twice including 2days checking
day1: running live wallpaper when going to sleep, phone battery 98%, after 6hours+ wakeup, my battery left 80%.
day2: normal 7hours sleeping having a 20%+- battery gone, this problem should not be present else = battery drain bug...
and tonight i will check while bluetooth is off, hope it didn't present the same problem(even bluetooth open 24H, it should not causing this problem as well)...

will be continue reporting to help rom improvement ~
sorry for my bad english

today will be upgrade to build-101~
