A few days ago was a link to a nightly build on this thread.  I installed this version and this upgrade fix some issues and extend the battery life.  I don't know why that post was removed.

Don't know if there is a new nightly build.

I would either recommend as the user posted above http://download.cyan.../?device=cooper
The latest nightly or http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1583871 CyanogenMod7.2 RC1 by vo-1 MIRACLE Edition V3
Im currently using it and its really fast and nice.

Hello, i recently got a SGA and i love it, except 2 little problems...
1. the battery life sucks
2. i saw the same model used by some ppl that seemed a bit faster (programs opening, file browsing, etc)

So far i just updated my phone to a stock rom 2.3.4 (it had orange rom and i did not like it) and updated to 2.3.6 via Update (from the phone) + root

My questions are these
1. Will a custom rom improve battery life?
2. I saw on some forums and youtube ppl that claimed to use the CyanogeMod 7 from galaxy S on this phone with no problem.... is that true?
3. i have no warranty so i am a bit afraid of using a custom rom bcs making my phone into a brick is NOT an option, what is the chance of that happening?

10x in advance and hope i did not make any1 upset with my post ( wrong section or something)

The battery seems to work better with the Cyanogen mod than the original one.

Y can use youtube (from ap) with cyanogen mod.

When you flash your rom there is a chance to brick your phone.  If you follow the guide you shouldn't find any problem.  Be sure to have the battery fullcharged.

ty or the answers

one of the questions was not if i can use youtube after the flash, but rather what rom should i use ( on youtube some ppl claimed to you the rom from Galaxy S) since there is no official stable version yet

i want to use the nightly version... is it stable for day to day use?

so.... i decided to man up and install the nightly BUT i got into a small problem

Click on Samsung Galaxy Ace and then give the app root permission if it prompts you.

in the list i have no galaxy ace, not even a samsung.. :-S
what did i do wrong?

i must mention that the rooting was not done like in the guide (it was rooted before with SuperOneClick)
is that my problem?

Hello, dev team! As you want donations on every site page, I'll decide to make my donations as soon as a Cyanogenmod Stable Release will be available for Samsung Galaxy Ace. Now you have required servers/hardware to do this job, all you have to do is to read this 12 pages containing entreaties from such many Galaxy Ace owners... Wish you all the best!

i just installed the V4 of Miracle (a user posted the link for v3 a few post up, it`s the same link they just updated to v4) which is a spinoff of the nightly build and so far it all works well
i like the fact that it`s barebone and i only instaled what i need, no useless crap
it`s a speedy suker, you guys should give it a go, so far what i`ve read from forums no major problems to report

What kind of uptime are you guys getting on the Galaxy Ace with 7.2 RC1 or the recent nightlies? I cannot seem to get past 36 hours or so before the thing freezes while in sleep mode, forcing me to remove the battery. - At least as long as the phone's not set to airplane mode, if it is it can go on forever. Seems to be same issue as described in http://code.google.c.../detail?id=3850

Anyone else know anything?

Do you know when will a new nightly be released?
I would like to have a new rom with some fixed bugs from the last nightly.

The one that is killing me is i can't have the phone powered off while charging.

Regards

Awesome work, I'll use it and donate when cooper is official.  No offense, I just can't lose any features on my work phone.

A new nightly came out yesteraday, did anyone give it a try yet?

L.E.
I tryed the nightly but i got a small problem, i can`t log into my google account, i get and error (503 if i remember right)....
I googled around a bit and it said something about some missing apk`s related to google back-up and sync.
Anyone know  a workaround or fix?
