http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1076145 here is where I got the info. Read far enough into the thread, don't change the 7 things in the post for HTC vision, didn't work for me, change the two for Samsung and nexus s, did work!

Thanks reading through it now. Looks like model=Nexus S and manufacturer=samsung are the key changes. Can anyone confirm this works on 2.6.32?

Post #60 in that link has the easiest directions. Driving home to get my Nook on lunch, should have a confirmation in about 15 minutes.

working really well on nightly 63, but curious if anyone has a post as to how to update it to another (like nightly 70) while keeping the apps and data intact.  Sorry for the newbie post for a topic likely covered off elsewhere, but I can't find it and I don't want to update and lose what I've got (I know, make a backup, but how do I update to a later nightly with keeping the apps and data intact - just reload from google account afterwards?).  Any documentation is appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

Ok done in record time. 2.6.32 build prop edit works, BUT, it's on 2X fast forward. interesting.

Edit: added screen shot

That prop build totally slows the 2.6.32 kernel to a crawl on EVERYTHING else, also interesting. Switching to #70 next.

#70 works fine. Miss the screen off animations, but Netflix on my Nook, that rocks!

Hmm. Netflix is working well, but now the market crashes on me.  Anyone else having this trouble?  I've tried HTC Incredible and Nexus S in build.prop

Easy peasy mac & cheesy!  Netflix, Market, Talk, Gmail, everything working so far.  Running #70 w/ the ext4 fix OC kernel.

Here's what I did:

1.  downloaded Ronin3178's copy of the modified N70 from here: http://db.tt/WYacxBY (build.prop already modified)
2.  downloaded the EXT 4 OC kernal from here: http://www.unvisible...emmc-042411.zip
3.  flashed both
4.  rebooted & let it mellow out for a few minutes
5.  rebooted again.
6.  watching netflix while I'm posting this!

worked perfectly for me.

man o man, am i having problems. i'm currently running #63 and everything is fine. the progress with the NC is coming along great. now, i'm having issues.

i flashed #70 with gapps that i've been using for months now, and i get a boot loop every time. but my boot loop doesn't make it to the cyanogenmod boot screen.

the screen gets stuck right before that, and all it says is "android.." on the top left side.

I tried factory/data reset. I also tried wiping system, data and cache separately.

Now if i happen to get past the boot loop, i get a solid green screen.

I do have a nandroid backup so i'm good now, but I want to get up to par with my N1.

ANY TIPS? HELP?

means not using any custom/overclock/not stock CM kernels... because if not then...

Corrupted zip maybe? Could always download the nightly again and try to update.

Dalingrin updated the 2.6.32 kernel again, and screen animations now work. I've played with the new kernel all day and only a few slight hicups with touch screen response issues, but those seem to be gone now. If you flash this build, please read the included instructions so you don't lock up your nook, especially if going from 7.0.3 to this build. http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=960537 here is the FAQ link. http://forum.xda-dev...&postcount=1261
Edit: I haven't tried the oc kernel with this build as previous versions aren't compatible with the new kernel.

If we Flash the new .32Kernel along with the New CM7.1, does that mean the nightlies will no longer work?  In other words, once we would do this, would we continue to flash the nightly builds, or not?  Thanks?

Currently the 2.6.32 kernel is in the very early stages and basically in parallel development to the nightly builds until it eventually merges with CM7.1. Overall, I've found it to be very stable, but doesn't support the Netflix playback with the current hacks, so I'm temporarily back to the nightly builds ONLY for that reason. If you're adventurous, and are familiar enough with adb commands, give it a shot. Once you're on that kernel, you won't get the nightly notifications. There are many improvements with that new kernel including screen off animations, more stable wifi and bt improvements. If you're adventurous, try it out. Please make frequent backups, and understand that its an early experimental build, and there is no support other than a few people playing with it atm.

Edit; new beta 3.1 out 051311 & 1200 OC kernel. Need to update uboot before you flash though. OP has the files, and uboot zip is on the page linked. http://forum.xda-dev...925451&page=265

I've wiped everything and then some, but I can't get it to boot. Last running was #63. Tried #70 and #72, with gapps from 201101 & 201103.

Boot gets stuck right before Cyanogenmod boot logo. Just shows " android.." on the left side, parallel.

F###!

Can always restore from backup.

Okay guys, this is my first post, but I wanted to contribute something. The premade CM7 nightly build 70 ready for netflix link was down when my brother tried, so here's another link to it: HERE.

Also,HERE's the modified overclock kernel that will work with this ROM.
