Hi all!
Can someone help me with a chinese phone "Star A3000" based on froyo and chip (Mediatek) MTK 6515?
I'd like to install a good Recovery, so I'll be able to make a backup of the entire rom (may be usefull in case of briks).

I'm not sure about what you exactly want but. If it can help,
you can acces the recovery mode on this phone in a very easy way.
first turn it off. hold the volume up button then hold the power button.
you will see the exclamation mark on the screen. then push one of the 4 button under the screen to open the menu.
to select an option  push the power button when the option is highlighted.
I'm new with all this smarthphone stuff. I can't help you any further,

Thank you. But I've yet done what you described, amd all works. Buthis isn't what I need.
I'd like to istal somathing like Clockworrkmod recovery, cyanogen mod recovery, or a similar recovery, that allows me to make a complete backup of the phone with "nandroid".
i hope you can help me further!

I have found a recovery.img file for this phone, but can't flash it. I have tried it with terminal emulator, ADB, and it's not possible.

Hi guys! I bought a chinese cell Star A3000, with Froyo and Mediatek MTK 6515. Is there the possibility to see a mod to it? I don't know if you accept requests, but would be great if somebody could develop!

just find and install "z4root" program can download it here http://4pda.ru/forum...howtopic=199355 .  It may be helpful. You must enable "apply to install programs from none market  sources" in android settings menu, something like that. On russian language (at my A1000 Nexus S) this option called: Настройки ---> Приложения ---> Неизвестные источники. (i.e. Settings -> Applications -> Unknown sources)

Also you will need to enable "Settings -> Applications -> Development ->USB Debugging"  option before "z4root was installed"

Hi, Grateful if any assistance in downloading ringtones for the Star A3000. I have downloaded several Android ringtones to the phone but I can't see the downloaded files in the ringtone options. Which folder should the downloaded ringtones go into?

Place the files into a ringtones folder on the sdcard, or get Ringdroid from the market and use that app to specify ringtones.

BTW, it would be awesome if we can get a mod for this phone I can acces the recovery mode so if you need all the specs I can provide 'em xD

Star A3000 The backup does not backup rom google, and the script is licensed machine backup system apk, related jar file, so drive it. rom without backup Yeah, you do not throw a card data format, then brush the package to the sd card on it, that the brush back to that, they do not format the data area, your data is normal
