Given the recent explosion of nightly users, I understand your need for a place to discuss them, and/or ask if other users are having similar issues as you...this is that place

  • DO NOT: Post to the bug tracker
  • DO NOT: Open another thread (I will enforce this with temp bans)
  • DO NOT: Think of this as official forum support; this thread will be strictly user to user support. Don't expect CM-dev help.
** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.
**
** Please refrain from submitting bug reports for any issues
** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.

The camera works but the video camera doesn't. The data after call issue is still remaining also. Everything else seems to be working. Light sensors don't work and no landscape.

Phone wont go into landscape and the gapps space issue is just too much for me. Going back to 248.

The screen off animation works at first, but then stops and I cant get it back.

EDIT:  Guess its from changing animations to fast that kills it in Spare Parts

Waiting for Build 1 to finish downloading from ROM manager. This is going to be my first time running a nightly. What exactly should I expect? Broken features or a lot of FCs and reboots?

The nightly builds have been fairly stable in the past.  However, if the previous posters are any indication, the early builds of CM7 could be a bit of a wild ride.  Whether or not this is something that you can deal with is entirely up to you.  Hope you made a backup.  :)

I agree. I'm waiting for the nightlies to catch up to the CM7 mtwebster build (landscape works)...

Ok, so it's not perfect. But it's the only one I haven't immediately dumped. This is as worth a try.

Build #1 is great!

I just noticed that the landscape lockscreen still has the froyo tabs, hasn't been updated to the gingerbread tabs yet. I found this on my OG Droid when sliding out the keyboard while at the lockscreen. This probably was never dealt with by Google, since the Nexus S didn't have a landscape lockscreen. Anyway, just a heads up.

The gapps don't work for me. I can't add my google account and can't access the market or gmail. I flashed gapps after flashing the rom like I always do. What am I doing wrong?

edit: My fault. I was coming from a CM6 nightly and a full wipe took care of the problem.

Gapps work for me, if I really need landscape I can just slide out the keyboard. So far I'm liking what I'm seeing, but there are a few CM options missing since 6.2.

I REALLY like the look and feel, but I do everything on my phone (and it was my first nightlies flash) so I had to go back to 6.1.2

I did a full wipe and almost nothing restored automatically by google. The market shows my purchased apps, but none of my apps downloaded automatically. Also my keyboard and hard keys do not light up. Did anyone else run into the same situation?
