I'm using nightly #1, I see swype has been added in the last couple of days. But I've got a (legit) more recent swype beta (one that includes the microphone button), if I install a more recent nightly without wiping will this cause problems?

I hope the Genius button functionality isn't included by default, I'm much happier using vlingo, even if I do get the occasional FC message on CM7 so far.

I had contacted TMO last night and they didn't know of any outages but, yeah, it's pretty obvious now that there was an outage.  Everything was back to normal for me this morning as well.

I doubt you will ever see any site put a built in method for doing that that are against the TOS of the phone [companies] directly. In this case throttling speed back. These guys/gals do an amazing job at building AOSP ROMs. I don't think they want to get on the bad side of the major carriers by doing this.

If you want to do it. The build your own script and do it to your phone.

I was experiencing the problem you describe and it went away when I ran Fix Permissions and then rebooted.

You should boot after flashing, and then reboot it.  The second reboot clears up the wifi issue.

OK, I just flashed build #7 and I keep getting MMS force close alerts.  I'm going back to my build 3 install that worked great and will wait for the next one.

I just updated to nightly v7 and I can't find Swype anywhere.  I have looked in several areas of settings.  It doesn't appear as the default keyboard either.  Anyone know what might be wrong?

Also, I don't seem to have the Genius button working, as I have read above that it is supposed to be.  When I push that button I get a Google Search window, but no opportunity to use voice recognition (except for the tiny voice search button on the Google search bar).

I also flashed the 20110120 version of gapps at the same time.  I don't see any difference.  Am I missing something??

And, lastly, every time I try to go to Settings > Sounds, I get a Force Close.  I have tried fixing permissions, but that didn't help.  Anyone else getting that?  Or do I maybe just need to flush the data for the Settings Storage app?

Build #7 doesn't have Swype in it from what I've read so use the beta.

For the Genius button to work, you have to flash this:

OK. Thanks.

Could someone point me to a download of the Swype beta?  When I Google search, all I get is stuff that is six months old or so.  And I don't find it in the Marketplace.
