Hi *,

Does anybody still get those disappearing menus and keyboard?

At least I don't, for me it works perfectly.

Hello
I'm quite new here (and with native CM7) and i have some question about the usage of that MOD.
Previously, i was with CM custommed MOD (Cronos...) and i was using the sd-ext function (app2sd mode) to install app on sd card (on specific partition).
Avec the installation of the last CM7 Nightly (after complete wipe), applications could not be successfull installed. I have changed the CMExtra parameter to choose the default installation target (from Automatic to Internal) and now, applications are correctly installed but on internal memory.

Did you know if it's possible to use the sd-ext function with CM7?
I found something else but i'm not sure that it has the same behaviour : i could deplace application from internal to sd (when i goes into application menu) but i think that applications are now stored in sd card but not in specific partition of sd card.

Many thanks for your reply

Tiico (Hero - CM7 nightly #114)

It might be off topic, but I have found a great replacemnt gallery for sluggish Gallery3D.

This one is fast and simple.

@ato: Throwing it in a nuclear chamber could probably have the same effect as trying to run flash on it. And the first one would be easier ;)

Have you seen this:

I would not be surprised if the performance is terrible but I am amazed that it seems possible.

I noticed that Facebook notification is not working for Hero. While it's working for N1. Is this expected?

sometimes it does for me, and sometimes it doesn't.

my theory is it's a low memory problem that is confusing the dodgy facebook app when it gets it's service kicked out of ram

Better to be not activated, eats too much memory on our poor Hero. Prefer Gmail notifications.

Hi,

Good news for Endomondo (and other GPS apps?) users. I have successfully recorded about 15 min training without a reboot. I was on build #118.
Have a nice day :-)

Just rememeber, a proper training starts from 30 minutes :)
I have not tested it for a while, as I am using Garmin device with heart rate strap, but I should try to test Endomondo on hero again.

You are right 15 min is a small warm-up :) Tomorrow I will ride on my bike about 40 km and I'm going to try build #120.

And one more thing: Some of You reported that Facebook notifications doesn't work - same with Google+ app (notification sound is played properly but led is not blinking)

Did you try the GPS with build 120???

It would be fantastic to know that there is not problems with it....

Thank you very much

Yeah. I'm currently on #120 and recording my workouts without any problems. Only battery life is a bit worse than CM6.

Any ideas why 2.3 is eating battery life? Is it fixable? I had to go back to CM6 to get my phone to last the whole day :/

I'm afraid that's bound to be something that is running on your phone. My gf's hero lasts easily up to two-three days.

Hey, I'm testing new nightly builds of CM7 for Hero and since #120 Dolphin Browser Mini crashes on pressing menu button, flashed #118 and it works again. I'm not sure what can cause this and is it just me, so please someone confirm that?

Can you connect to your phone and run logcat? It would help to find out. Anyway, it should be then reported to Dolphin Browser developer.

Sigh, nevermind already, flashed #123 directly over #118 and problem didn't show up again. Sorry for bugging you. For now CM7 seem to be rather stable already, still the battery life is far worse than CM6.1, but maybe it's Gingerbread thing.

If I get some errors, I'll let you guys know.
